Question about Teac Audio Players & Recorders
DVD driver on my TEAC N533 (12V FOR CARAVAN) will not read DVD's - message "Disc error". Can this be fixed in Brisbane?
First; try blowing into the DVD reader, sometimes it is just a hair. also try a DVD cleaner disc. Check if the drive spins up correctly, and "listen". If it's spnning but having trouble reading you will hear a whizzing sound as it tries different speeds.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Fan motor seems weak, must be started by flicking it with a finger. Know how to replace the fan motor, can it be done where it sits or does the whole board need to come out with it.....?

The usual cause of this is the optical disk itself. Either the media has defects that your player doesn't like, or the codec needed to 'read' the disk is missing or unknown. Try playing a standard DVD from the music store. If that plays ok, you may need to upgrade your firmware. New firmware should be available from the maker's web site.
