SOURCE: Lg vx8350 Using external antenna port.

The Wilson adapter damaged your internal antenna. I talked to Wilson today to get a part number to buy the adapter and the told me they did not recommend using it as it has damaged a number of phones. They also said that LG might have corrected the problem in the newest production models.

SOURCE: no signal

Hopefully, anyway.

I had a similar problem, and my solution was this: I pressed menu on my TV and using my universal remote, went into setup, and then channel search (or near to that), at which point it began searching for analog and digital channels. This can take up to approx. 30 minutes. I suggest you occupy yourself while waiting; it is a sluggish process.

If you want assurance, your TV will have the majority of analog channels (basic cable), and a couple digital. I am basing this wholly on my experience, however. Once finished, it should switch immediately so a channel. Mine was a weather station.

I hope this is successful in helping you and those in the future.

Have sirius and hands free phone features with sirius antennae. I do not get good signals from local FM or AM Radio stations. Why?

Sirius is a satellite biased service , so it uses a satellite antenna , local stations how ever don't use that antenna and use a dipole antenna , are both type antenna's connected to your radio , lots of installers don't bother to connect local antenna to new radio installs , im mean you got Sirius why'd you want local stuff anyway is there thinking

05 pacifica low singel only works by city radio

Hi Margaret, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair

I've worked for Chrysler for over 40 years and I've found several reasons the radio has a low signal. (1) The radio itself could have a short inside. (2) The antenna or wiring could be shorted or frayed. (3) The antenna itself could be bad. Unfortunately, without running a test procedure you don't know which one is causing the problem. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair website and check out the testimonials of my satisfied customers.

Have vhf marine radio can transmit but can hear other person have even tried another vhf same problem

Not likely that you get two that won't receive. Check your Antenna sounds like there is something blocking the signal at the frequency you are receiving on. If you have used this Antenna successfully before then it is the Radios. If not reposition the Antenna and try to gain a signal. As VHF follows the lay of the land it is easier to pick up than UHF and that rules out the line of sight transmission so something is blocking your incoming signal if it is not your Antenna. It has been years since I worked on LMR's but seems like I remember some Antenna's having filters in them which had to be tuned. I'm not sure about that one it has been 30 years since I worked on the Radios. Put a Watt meter on your Radio and see if it is putting out enough Wattage to get out and use a RF Probe to check the Antenna while it is keyed down to transmit. If these are good then something is deflecting your signal and you definitely need to relocate your Antenna. This is what I would try and some of the things we did for the same problem. As you know and I said earlier VHF Signals follow the lay of the land and for a long time that was all the THP [Tennessee Highway Patrol] had in their cars. We've got a few hills in TN as you might already know. Now they use cell phones and text while driving.
Hope this is helpful and if I can be of any further assistance please feel free to contact me.

Hi i have a radio shack hanheld trc-231 and a trc-241. I would like to know how i can tweak my trc231 to the max and i need to find out whats wrong with my trc241 as it has a weak transmitting signal out...

First , make an external antenna and listen.

You can make one ,

• with a use of a 9 ft long , 1 in diam aluminum tube,

• RG-58 cable and

• BNC antenna connector for your radio

Install it above the roof , 10 ft height of mask is OK

higher is better

• Use 4 guy wires as ground.

Im having problems with my midland 77-095 im reciving lound and clear but my output is terrible people cant hear me but i can hear them>???? thanks

it is possible you are hearing peoplein skipland. skip is an atmospheric phenomenon that causes radio waves to travel hundreds even thousands of miles. there a lot of cb operators that run high power amplifiers which would make their signal go even further. this would mean you would hear them well, but your radio doesn't have enough power to reach that person. right now we are in a solar cycle which has been causing skip daily. if you know that the peson you are trying to talk to is local and within. a few.miles then there may be an issue wit either your radio or antenna. the antenna must be tunedto the radio or you signal will not radiate off the antenna completely. over time it can destroy the radios transmit circuit. so if you have never.tuned the antenna you may be causing the radio not to work well and you may have hurt the transmit transistor.

XM radio is not working. Tries to 'Load' but then says 'no signal'. XM says that I am receiving the signal but Honda says there is no problem. They want to try to replace the antenna for $500 but are...

You best bet - if you can get to the rear of the XM tuner unit, is to temporarily connect a magnetic-mount XM antenna and see if it works. A bad antenna usually says "check antenna" - not loading could be a good antenna with a bad location. I would try the little XM antenna by itself, then go from there. $20 is a lot cheaper than $500. Let me know how it works out.

No signal

there saying that something is blocking the antenna. If it is saying no signal then check the connection at the unit where the antenna plugs into. If thats good then it either could be a bad antenna or a bad dock where your unit sits into.

How to improve on Wireless Range

Wireless and Antenna Terms Wireless routers, access points, and adapters send and receive radio wave signals through antennas. The antenna is hidden inside adapters, but on routers and access points there's a visible antenna. Radio waves can be focussed like a lightbulb. And like a light, some materials reduce or stop radio waves. While light focused from several lights is brighter and makes it easier to see, several antennas in the same area cause interference ? the radio signals will be muddy and confused. Your goals in optimizing power are: * Avoid obstacles. * Avoid interference. * Increase signal strength. Power affects how far an antenna radiates. * Use the equipment in places it's most powerful and most sensitive. Antennas don't radiate equally in every direction. Just as the base of a lightbulb blocks light, and just as a light can be focussed by a reflector, so an antenna signal may be blocked and focused. Since people cannot see radio waves, you'll rely on testing and trial-and-error to get an idea of where antennas "shine" most brightly. An adapter's antenna is important, but the most powerful and sensitive antennas are on routers, access points, and detachable external antennas. The focus of an antenna is either omni-directional antenna or directional. "Omnis" are used in most home products, they radiate horizontally all around, but are weaker upward or downward. When visible, these antennas are usually a rod a few inches long. A directional antenna radiates strongly in a limited direction. It is a flat panel or a dish. These are used for point-to-point transmissions (where two antennas are focused directly at each another). These need a line of sight between them, and preferably a large open space around the main beam. When you are near antennas you'll still get a signal, even if you are out of the direction of its strongest signals. But when further away, you have to be in the direction the beam is the most powerful and unobstructed to receive it. One final concept before you go to the above links is interference. Interference is a signal ? one you don't want ? at the same frequency as the one you're using. Interference comes from devices such as microwave ovens, cell phones, 2.4 GHz cordless phones, and copy machines. Interference is also caused when your own wireless signals are bounced off reflecting objects. Objects may partly or completely absorb signals, reflect them, bend them, or let them pass right through. Metal and water (including the water in people!) absorb or reflect signals. Air, wood, and glass tend to let signals pass with weakening. And when outdoors, plants and the weather may cause interference.
