SOURCE: My garage door seems to want to travel too far up

If you haven't you should remove the cover and watch the limit switch assembly. If it is making contact when it should but the door keeps traveling you have a bad logic board.

Press and release the green operate button to move the
door up or down. Press again to stop in the required fully
open or fully closed positions. Each time the operate button is pressed the door will stop or move in the opposite
direction.fio7c8ndqjcnbwivaodrak7uj3hwweu20kudaeajwikaaaadgbmbaaagacccaaamae4eaaayajwiaaawadgraabgahaiaadaaobeaacaaccjaaaaa4ataqaabganagaadabobaaagaa78f8dc5tazpfvnuuaaaaasuvork5cyiia

Merlin 230t Door completes closing and goes straight back up again without using the remote...all adjustments have been made by a licenced door mechanic and yet it still refuses to stay down

Check for black marks on the wall or something it may be hitting . (if so the track is to tight to the wall)..... also Release the door from the opener and check it manually make sure its smooth and balanced correctly two panels up two panels down

Merlin 230t

If the chain is loose I would definitely tighten it up to remove the sloppiness of the drive. That will in turn help you to accurately find the sweet spot that is currently eluding you. And you have to work fast because you do not want to overheat the motor.

The garage door will open and then close then open and then the light starts to flash it's a Merlin 230t

This just happened to me. The issue was that the chain that the motor moves back and forth to open/close the door needed to be tightened as the tension had become slack, so the door was hitting the ground hard when it closed and the system automatically raised the door. I closed the door by adjusting the downward travel and then tightened the chain tension by twisting the bit at the of the chain (you'll see it and can use your fingers to do this), once done, then it was a matter of adjusting the upward and downward travel knobs and testing the door to make sure the door was back to normal.
