Thank you, but I´m using Duracell Alkalines batteries. The keyboard only has one button and its for start the connection with the PC. It have only one position. I dont have any manual or drivers for the GE 98708 Keyboard. If you know where I can get them, that could help me.

Thank you for your time, and intend for solution my problem. I'd be very happy if I could use the batteries for 6 months instead of a few days. The optical mouse turn off the light after a few minutes, but I think the keyboard still stay on.

Maybe I´ll have to insert a switch to turn it off.

Wireless devices tend to eat up batteries. Try to use high capacity batteries which are a little expensive. And as for all wireless devices, there has to be an on/off switch. Do check your devices on the rear for any switch.

Sorry I tried to search for a manual for your keyboard and mouse, but in vain. Found this site which offers Vista drivershttp://www.jascoproducts.com/support/vis...
And those were the batteries I was indirectly mentioning, but even those batteries are not powerful enough for my notebook optical mouse. Dies in less than 6 months even with minimal use. If the manufacturer has not provided with a switch to turn it off, there is no other way than to remove the batteries after every use. If you need any more help, please feel free to comment again

Learnt that the optical mouse is powered by a built in rechargable battery. But there are no options for the keyboard. Good that you have planned to fix a switch. But watch out, you'll void any warranties. Happy modding.

Lg thrill wont charge

Date: May 16, 2014

I have an LG Thrill 4G. My phone just went thru an issue where it wouldn't charge past 4%. Sometimes, it wouldn't go past 2%, so I had to leave it on the charger ALL the time - or risk it dying, completely.

For days, the only services shown on my battery usage were:
Cell Standby: 33%
Bluetooth: 33%
Phone Idle: 32%
Display: 2%

I replaced the battery with a brand new one - NOTHING changed. Battery still sat around 2-4% for the entire day, while on the charger. So, I started uninstalling apps like crazy - just to see what would happen.

NOTHING. Same thing.

So, I decided to at least install the Facebook app back...and the upgraded version had to be installed - so I did it.

VOILA!!! My phone instantly started charging ...8%...14%...24%...52%...80%...91%...all over a period of about an hour. Just a constant charge going up a few percentage points every few minutes...

...and all of a sudden, started going back down pretty rapidly when it hit 92%. Within maybe 3mins, the charge went from 92% to 78% - and I wasn't using the phone. I was just watching the meter drop 2 percentage points over a period of a few seconds, each time. I decided to quickly turn the phone off at 78% but left it on the charger.

After roughly 5mins, I turned the phone back on, just to see what the charge would be sitting at. WOULDN'T YA KNOW - 3%.

How can battery life go from 78% to 3% - while it's OFF - within a 5min span??? Therefore, my question is: was it really charged to 78% when I turned the phone off? Or was the battery meter being "tricked" by some app that might be installed?

The first battery it did this to was the 1500mah. Used that battery for like 3 days of this before I replaced it. The battery the scenario above JUST happened to is my new 3500mah battery, and it's been giving this 3500mah battery the 3% capacity for a whole day and a half now...

Try re-seating the keyboard, here is a link to dells website showing you how to remove the keyboard...it's not a tricky thing to do but do take your time and follow the instructions.

http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1545/en/SM/keyboard.htm

Once the keyboard is removed have a look for any liquid ingress from the cleaning, just pat down with a paper towel and replace the keyboard and restart, let me know if this helped.

My mother-in-law said this exact thing to me last week about her camera. I can't understand why it's running the batteries down so quickly unless the power is being left on constantly. But I can tell you regular batteries don't last long in any high tech devices anymore.

I highly recommend Lithium batteries (I prefer Energizer, but any brand will do). They tend to last at least 6 months in my digital camera. They're more expensive, so I understand most people are hesitant about buying them, but considering the number of regular batteries you'd use up in that time period, you come out better in the long run (plus you don't have to haul around tons of replacements).

If your camera runs the Lithum battery down quickly, too, I might be inclined to say that something about the camera is defective and you should call the manufacturer.

I have #97990. The batteries are done within a half of a day, even when I switch it off

Replace the rechargeable batteries. Even rechargeable batteries only can be recharged so many times and then they will not hold a good charge.

The battery is not easily replaceable. It's a 1.2 volt, 80ma Nickel-metal hydride battery, that is soldered to the circuit board. I opened the back of the switch to find the battery. The one in this switch was in bad shape. It looks like the battery broke apart, but wasn't leaking. The switch is less then a year old. Bad design.

I just opened this up today and am going to look for a replacement battery. But soldering will obviously be involved to get the a new battery back in place.

Fcp logic wireless keyboard A1016 stopped working

Sounds like the keyboard is bad because its eating batteries up to quickly. I would probably try a good quality battery like Duracell or Energizer. If you were already using those then don't buy any. If you haven't tried those batteries then try those and see if the same thing happens, if it does then you know the keyboard would have to be replaced.

My gut feeling is when you saw the swollen battery inside of your keyboard then that was the begininng of the keyboard going bad.

MY NOKIA N81 FELL INTO THE TOILET!! I QUICKLY DRIED IT FROM THE OUTSIDE, OPENED IT, REMOVED THE BATTERY AND SIM CARD, AND DRIED EVERYTHING AS MUCH AS I COULD, AND LET IT REST ON PAPER, SCREEN AND KEYBOARD...

Place everything into a plastic bag with uncooked white rice. let it sit for a few days.
Buy a new battery if yours is toast and put it all back together and try it.
Thats the only way to know if it is dead or not.

Mouse doesnt entirely work, only clicks.

stupid question but have you tried replacing the batteries? it does honestly sound like its got power issues which are usually just that. give that a shot with some fresh batteries and re-synch the units (by pressing the button on the reciever then on the mouse).
