Good Afternoon Haley - Based on the model number posted
above, it shows that you are speaking about a front load washer. Is that
correct? If so, then generally speaking front load washers do not have an
agitator. If a sock is caught underneath it is typically because it got caught
in between the door and drum because the seal is either damaged or off the
track. If you have a top load washer, you may try to twist the agitator and
then pull it out to remove it, as you would for maintenance cleaning.
There is no "simple" way. Under the part with the holes is the tub without holes that holds the water in. If the neclace breaks it will go to the drain pump and most likely be blown out the drain. However you can try putting a few drops of vegetable oil on the necklace allowing it to go down below, and wiggle it around in an effort to untangle it.
In the center of the sgitator, there is a bolt.
Sometimes there is a plug to remove by prying out.
Remove this bolt.... or just loosen it, and the necklace will come free.
See item 2 in the expanded view on the left side.

withte palm of your hand youllneed to remove the fabric softener dispensor(a solid bump) will dislodge it, after that youlll gain acess to the center shaft of agitaotr, remove small white cover and underr youll see a 7/16 bolt head, remove the bolt and the agitaotr will pulll right up and then reinstall the same way
Hold the bottom part of the Agitator,(The part that you are talking about),Undo the very top part in an anti-clockwise direction and it will come right off.Use a wrench to remove the nut on the top of the agitator and then lift it right out,you may need to move it from right to left. You will now be able to remove the necklace.Replace the Agitator the reverse of removal.
