SOURCE: Honeywell thermostat won't regulate temp properly

Is there a setting on your thermostat that makes the unit stay on for 10, 15, 20, 25 minutes after you reach set temp. You can change this setting by looking at your manual for the thermostat. Not sure if there is one for this thermostat but mine has one. Mine was running 15 min after set temp and making it cool down 2 degrees lower than set temp. Hope this helps.

The upstairs ac display is blinking cool on, but not cooling the house. The outside fan is running. please help. The downstairs display and unit working properly

Normally Honeywell will "blink" COOL ON when its in a timed delay, usually 3-5 mins. And then COOL ON will stay on without blinking. If you turn tstat off then wait about 5 mins, then turn to cool, watch for the blinking, then wait 5 more. If it doesn't turn on, check/change the batteries if it has them. Try turning the AUTO/ON to the on position to bring on the fan only. It won't cool doing this but it helps in homeowner troubleshooting.

Honeywell thermostat "In Recovery" Message?

In recovery only shows on programmable stats. It refers to the adaptive recovery when using the programming. Over time the stat will learn how long it takes to cool or heat to the programmed set point. For example, if during the day the programming is set to 80?, and at 4:30 the programming drops to 76?, if it takes 2 hours for the temperature to reach 76?, it will learn that it takes 2 hours and eventually it will start turning on at 2:30 so that at 4:30 the temperature is satisfied instead of at 6:30, at which point it is no longer in recovery

I have a blinking snowflake icon on my air conditioner, my air will not work. My heater will work fine but the air will not come on

When the snowflake is blinking the thermostat in in a delay mode designed to protect your compressor. If it does not stop blinking in 15min the stat is bad otherwise something is wrong with the AC

On my honeywell rth230b thermostat, sometimes when i try to turn on the a/c, the snowflake will just blink and the a/c will not kick on. why does it do that?

They do that sometimes as a timing feature when going from heat setting the to cool setting or vise/versa. It should not do that when the thermostat is off and then you switch it to cool. Make sure the batteries in the thermostat are fresh. And make sure the thermostat is fully seated on the housing. Also check the wires are fully inserted into the connections on the thermostat housing and the wiring is correct.
