Re: want to upgrade graphics card,it's very weak,(nvidia...

Actually, the newer ones come with a PCI Express or Mini slot, however the cooling fans on the respectable cards are too big to fit. Also the standard power supply that comes with that machine is only 120-190 watts. Too light weight to power a respectable card. Acer placed a T.V. tuner card in that slot for a while, but that card wouldn't be any better for game playing than the current NVIDA 6150. Bottom line is this little machine is not designed for heavy gaming. Pack as much memory into it as you can get, because that's about all you can do for it.

You can't. Not upgradeable. No slots.

Want to upgrade graphics

Your right, both cards will be quite an inprovement in graphics. Your weak link is going to be the CPU, Your specs say AMD Semperon 3200 1.8GHz. Your power supply is a 300w, right? The EVGA 01G-P3-1302-LR has a MIN. 350w., you should be OK. The GIGABYTE GV-R435OC-512I Min. 300w. PCIE 2.0 : Both sound good for you , I have both ATI/AMD and Nvidia in laptops and desktops. I like Nvidia. It's your choise, of course, Both are a lot of bang for the bucks. They do get Hot, so keep them as cool as you can. Both have fans! If the graphics card starts giving you little issues, upgrade the PSU to say 400w. Remember, every device you add requires a bit more power.Enjoy!

UPGRADE of CPU and graphics card in HP Pavillion 9000?

The HP Pavilion dv97072ea Notebook PC?

Doesn't use the MXM technology, with using a separate graphics ->adapter card.
The graphics chipset (GPU) is soldered directly to the motherboard. (GPU on a small circuit board, that is)
It's Integrated Graphics,

Scroll the page down to the larger photos.

The Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 mobile graphics chipset, is the darker OD green circuit board. (Generally speaking)
In the views you are looking at the TOP of the motherboard.

You see the white rectangular Processor socket, with the square hole in the middle.
Next to it is a green square circuit board, and next to that is the darker, Olive Drab green square circuit board, that is the Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 graphics chipset.
{Circuit board and GPU, is referred to now as the graphics chipset.
That is why I stated - Generally speaking, above }

[GPU, ]

You can see the Nvidia GeForce GO7600T chipset, and circuit board, more clearly here,

It's mounted to the motherboard with a BGA surface mount.
Ball Grid Array.

To explain the Ball Grid Array surface mount, simply;

In the photo of the chipset in the Ebay link above, you are looking at a green square circuit board, with an Nvidia 7600 GO, mobile graphics chipset, in the middle. You are looking at a TOP view.

The GPU ->Nvidia GeForce GO 7600, is mounted to the green circuit board.
The bottom of the green circuit board has Solder Balls.

The Solder Balls take the place of Contact Pins.
(Contact pins, such as on the bottom of an Intel Pentium 4 processor, that uses a Socket 478 processor socket)

On the motherboard are matching Copper Pads.
(The copper pads are coated with a gold plating)

The Nvidia graphics chipset is set down on the motherboard, with the Solder Balls lining up on the matching Copper Pads.
Heat is then applied at a specific temperature, and length of time.

This action makes the solder balls melt, and solders the Nvidia GeForce GO 7600 to the copper pads.
(Which in turn solders it to the motherboard)

This demonstration of a BGA Rework Station, shows you more about the above technique,

Go down towards the bottom of the page, and click on the Red -
Take a few minutes to view the IR 650 demo video. (5 minutes)

Just for edification;
If it indeed did use the MXM technology, and a graphics adapter card for a laptop, that is based on the Nvidia GeForce GO7600 GPU, it would look like this, and plug into an interface, (Connector) on the motherboard,

(There is also a model with 128MB of graphics memory, besides the 256MB model shown above)

More in a Comment. Don't give up on increasing graphics 'power', just yet............................

Last year both my sons bought an eMachine, EL1300, desktop PC. I am looking at upgrading the processor, the Motherboards are both WMCP61M's. I was wondering if I could replace the existing AMD Athlon...

I would suggest you not to go for a processor upgrade, if you want to play games. You should consider upgrading your graphics Card(GPU). The processor that you mentioned above is enough for playing High-end games when combined with a good graphics Card. Upgrading your processor will boost very little game performance. But when you will upgrade your graphics Card. You will notice great boost in game performance and more new games will be supported. Two major manufacturer of Graphics Card are NVIDIA and ATi. You can opt any one of them. Nvidia GPUs are considered as a Good Performer. But also ATi is known for its long lasting life. Both the manufacturers produces a long list of models. Opt for the one that suits your Budget and the performance.
Hope this will help for sure.....

New graphic card for Evesham Axis 64 3200

Are you asking about upgrading your graphics card?
Aslong as you get a graphics card that is AGP connection you will be fine.
They dont make AGP graphics cards anymore, but one of the last ones made (and most powerful is the Nvidia 7950 AGP) can be found all over ebay.
Its not a cheap card though, and a later edition nvidia 6 card would be just as good for you, such as an Nvidia 6800 AGP graphics card

"Call of Duty" runs in slow motion on my PC.

Hi thomas,

Upgrading video cards will definitely increase in performance. You asked whether you should upgrade your entire PC or just the card and that really depends on the hardware you are running. If all of your hardware just barely meets the requirements than upgrading the videocard WILL give you a noticeable improvement but obviously it will not be as good as getting a better CPU and more RAM as well as a new card.

A good measure of a cards performance is based on the series of cards it is from. Your Geforce is from the 6000 series of Nvidia cards, they have 7000, 8000, and even 9000 series cards atm.

I would recommend something like an XFX Geforce 9800 GTX+ series card with 512MB of onboard memory, or any other competing card in the 200$ price range. This will definitely give you an increase in performance, and is a very popular card.

Hope this helps and please take a second to rate!
