The voltage out from supply just jumping all time from about 38,1V constantly to 46,4V - WHY??? How many VOLTS should be????

1- Are you measuring with the mixer connected ? The supply needs a load to work right.
2- If so, you have a blown regulator inside the supply, or maybe a bad solder somewhere on the board, probably a condenser...
LUCK---

Clip light on

Hi,

Does all the "Clip" lights are on? or just certain channel? if all "Clip" lights are on you have to check the +15V and -15V at Operational amplifier ic that is a 8-pin integrated circuit, pin 4 should have the -15V and Pin 8 should have the +15V, if just one channel shows the light constant on then its an opamp in that particular channel, let me know further to improve help.

How can you tell if a fuse is blown on a XR 8600 power amp by peavey?

The fuse is probably placed near the power cable entrance in the power amp.
Pick it up from it's placing dock and look for the wire inside. If the wire is whole, the fuze is fine, however, if the wire inside the fuze is missing or burned, the fuze needs to be replaced.

I can`t get any sound from my pv8 mixer i put the speaker cable i have put the red & white phonos into the mixer from my laptop getting on sound from the clip at all please can you tell me where i am...

Several things to do: Plugging into the tape type inputs... say the 7/8 channel.

The little button below the set you plug into needs to be pushed to the down position. This selects the "B" set which are the RCA jacks.

Below the set you are plugged into. Turn up the top knob "Gain" until the "clip" LED just isn't quite flashing.

At the bottom of that same column Turn up the "level" as needed for the mix.

Then of course, advance the Master level as needed.
