Belt's either too loose or needs replacing. Squeaking is generally caused by either looseness, or wear, causing the sides of the belt to loose frictional contact with the pulleys.

Just replaced high imit thermal fuse. The dryer belt squeks after 30 minutes on high manual mode. It seems the dryer is running much hotter than usual maybe causing the belt to squek. Any idea???

You may possibly have a bad temp control stuck on that caused the hi limit to open in the first place. That may be why you have a hotter than normal dryer. Temp controls are usually near the hi limit. A round disk with either 2 or sometime 4 wires hooked to it. Also check for a possible block vent keeping the hot air from venting outside.

Squeky belt on a 1997 plymouth voyager. The belt was replaced a month ago and started squeking again

Squeeking means slipping. Clean the4 pulleys and the belt with belt cleaner (Pep Boys). Adjust the belt to proper tension. Check that whatever the belt is driving is turning easily and does not have bad bearings.

Hi I have a 307 xsi 2L 2002 I recently had timing belt/waterpump both changed and yesterday the fan belt but the car is now worse than before whining noise squeking when in idleing and driving accept in...

readjust the fan belt and check the condition of the pulleys The secondary air injector is showing a malfunction ---causes are ---wiring---AIR valve--- AIR sensor--- ECMI would be checking the wiring and connections as they may not have been replaced properly after the timing belt work. Replace with genuine units only as some after mark units are not compatible with the cpu.

Belts are ok but there is a lot of squeking is there something i can do to stop this

You can start by spraying the belts with Belt-lub which can be purchased at any auto parts store; the lub will also extend the life of the belts. Also check the adjustment to see if the belts need to be tightened.
