Question about Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum

Torn Hose The hose on my Dyson is torn right at the top where the the accessories connect. I was able to take the connection apart and shorten the hose, but I don't know what to use to reattach the hose to the black fitting. It looks like it was glued...not sure what kind. Any ideas?

Re: Torn Hose

I had this same problem and tried to repair it a few ways...and they all broke soon afterwards. So...I called Dyson...and they sent me a brand-new hose for no charge! I couldn't believe they were so efficient...

Call Dyson support...they're great!

Re: Torn Hose

You can use evo stick glue.
But normally once it has ripped open it will do it again so probably best option fit new hose.

Could the hose on steamvac be saved

The hose for this model when torn can only be replaced. With a torn hose you will loose suction from your floor nozzle, and performance will be decreased.

My magic Blue vacuum is turning off and on when the hose ifs moved I think

I would recommend checking where the end of the hose attaches to. On Kenmore vacuums where the end of the hose plugs into the vacuum and to the powerhead there is normally two prongs that plug in to the canister and the power head. It is either one of the ends that is not connecting right especially if you say when the hose is moved. It may also be the cord inside the hose that connects to those prongs might be torn inside the hose or not connecting right to each end.

The hose as torn along the metal ring. How do I

Hi Jim,
SmartAlec from here.
It is possible to take the end off and re-attatch (but its very fiddly and a real pain). You need to simultaneously push in the small oval pins on the side of the hard plastic part and pull the hose out. Be aware that there is 2 tiny springs inside and if they dont go back in the hose will not lock on. Once you have hose out simply cut out the bad part and reinsert to the end.
If this is too hard or some small parts go missing you will need a new hose.

Part of the hose is torn. Do I have to replace the whole hose or can it be repaired ?

Which hose is torn? The hose underneath or the hose with the extension wand in the handle?

Where I work we can sometimes repair the wand hose, and the little hose undernath is usually a cheap costing replacement.

The attachment hose is torn right where it connects to the motor . And there should be a trigger on the end of the hose right below where it connects to the hand tool.

Take the top cover off, unscrew where the hose hooks onto the back, then you can get to it.
