It myst be due to its Laser Pickup Unit's trouble. In long run, the intensity of laser beam from it goes down, and reading ability will also go down. Just check it with playing with a cleaning disc for three or more times. If it helps you it is ok. If not, replacing the Laser Pickup Unit is the only remedy. There is a strip wiire with carbon condutors which connects the laser pickup unit to the main board. Check it. If it is a detachable one, replace it with a same type and try first. If this also doesn't help, replace the Laser Pickup Unit with same type and number. Insist on same type and number, since it it a critical part of your set. OK.
