You have to go to www.roku.com and sign up for an account. Once you have signed up for an account (yes you have to give them your bank stuff in case you use a pay channel) on your account page there at the bottom right of the page is a link to "Link A Player". This is how you get your code.

You need to create an account on the Roku website. once you created the account click on my account and link your player

If you have the code, go a computer, open a browser windows and go to http://www.roku.com/link
to enter your code.
Enter the link to complete your setup.
