I need 3D accelerator

Direct3D is a component of Microsoft's DirectX graphics software and is one of the more commonly used graphics accelerators in PC gaming. Of course, before you can enjoy the benefits of Direct3D acceleration, you need to have that particular component enabled in DirectX. Fortunately for your gaming needs, enabling Direct3D acceleration is not an overly complicated process, and can be achieved in a matter of moments. Open the "Start" menu and type "dxdiag" into the Windows Live search box, then press "Enter." This will bring up the "DirectX Diagnostics" dialog box. Click the "Display" tab. Locate the "Direct3D Acceleration" entry. Click the "Enable" option next to the Direct3D entry. This will turn on Direct3D acceleration. You may need to restart your computer to make the changes effective. Hope this helps. http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-us/aboutgfw/pages/directx.aspx http://ati-catalyst-drivers.en.softonic.com/ Optimise your ATi graphics card's performance b> http://download.cnet.com/3dmark2001/3000-2121_4-10056689.html

No hardware-accelerated Direct3D device were found . this the problem appears when I open my game. help me to solve this problem. or give me this kind of device.

depending on the windows you are using, the accelerators should install automatically, or else the system does not support or you can download the accelerators form microsoft and install them.

No hardware-accelerated Direct3D devices were found swithiching to the reference rasterizer a software device that implements the entire direct3D feature set but runs very slowly.

more info please
But basically your machine is not detected a 3D video card.
It could be that a proper video driver has not been installed (Windows is using a default) so this maybe cured by simply downloading the driver for your machines GPU.

This machine might be using integrated "onboard" graphics, in which case don't expect very good performance especially with any recent game.

Im using windows xp sp2 and my startup is incredibly slow. im using alienware themes and alienware dock starts on startup.other than that ive changed the startup tune to something i converted on my own....

Sounds like you are running out of ram for the program. Try upgrading to some more ram in your system. Windows xp recommends minimum 512k of memory to run.

I've been using my MP830 with Windows XP for years without any problems. I have all of the current Windows updates. I'm now getting this message: "prestopm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"

It has to do with your display.
Try this...
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Themes.
3. Click Display.
4. On the Settings tab, click Advanced.
5. On the Troubleshoot tab, move the Hardware acceleration slider control to the third position (from the left), and then click OK.

Note The following message is the description for this position:
Disable all Direct Draw and Direct3D accelerations, as well as all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations. Use this setting to correct severe problems with Direct X accelerated applications.

6. Click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.

DirectDraw and Direct3d Acceleration Problem

This problem happened to me when I was installing halo pc. Its not fixable so what I recomend is that you take all of your files, pics, ect. and put them on a hard drive or flash drive and start over on your computer. I had to do that because the direct x 9 got corupted and I was not able to fix it. Now that I completely formated my computer, I am able to play halo and halo 2.
