    Try to reseat the cartridges. Open the printer cover. Remove the cartridges and reinstall properly and securely in their slots.
    Also, make sure you are using genuine Lexmark cartridges. While the firmware update helps make your printer perform more reliably and efficiently, another function of the update is to prevent the printer from working with unauthorized third-party cartridges.

    Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
    If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
    It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

      go to properties of printer then printing preferences and check for print in gray scale option and uncheck that box and then again

      Pro901 stopped printing in color


      Blocked print head nozzles
      Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles.
      Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
      After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles.
      A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

      I have a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro 901 printer and its set up to print using black ink only, but it keeps telling to replace color cartridges and it won't let me print at all, how do I print using blac


      The printer would need all cartridges to have sufficient ink levels to continue printing - that's to prevent damaging the printhead. Every time a cartridge is replaced, all colors are primed simultaneously thus the need for all cartridges to have ink.


      To save on your ink investment, try printing in draft mode and by making sure that your printing preferences is set to print using black ink only.

      After installing Mountain Lion, my Lexmark Pro901 won't print and scan. Help


      Apparently Apple have not included the Driver from Lexmark, so you have to use their own driver to make thing work. Lexmark Tech support will talk you through it.

      Try updating the firmware of your printer. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update. Also, make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. If not, replace the cartridge.

      Brand new pro901 has 3/4 inch horizontal lines (grey) showing up in multiple areas of printed page. Cleaned print head, problem persists

      I have two computers on my network, an iMac and a PC running Windoew 7. I recently purchased the Lexmark Pro901 and installed it on the network. It(the Lexmark Pro901) seems to connect fine to the network...


      It could be a software issue. Try to uninstall the existing Lexmark Pro901 driver from your desktop pc by going to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark -> Pro900 Series -> Uninstall Lexmark Pro900 Series. Reboot pc when prompted.
      Now, check your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit by going to the Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the System Type.
      To reinstall, download the Lexmark Pro900 Series driver using the links below: - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 32-bit - Lexmark Pro901 driver for Windows 7 64-bit
      Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.
