SOURCE: Recovering corrupted data on a san disk - Lumix DMC-TZ3

Hi,

Hope this helps:

CardRecovery-trial This software is free.

Lexar ImageRescue This software has to be bought, but it isn't too expensive.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
There are many other image recovery softwares out there.

If you are lucky, then you might get away with one for free. I got ImageRescue and Corel Paint Shop Pro 9 for free bundled with a Lexar SD card!

SOURCE: copy images from pc to Lumix TZ5 SD memory card?

yes i m sure it would work if you use a card reader instead of using the camera directly connected.. in that case your memory card will just work as the usb hard drive and you can load anything into it..

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

My computer can't access the pictures on my Panasonic Lumix DMC LZ3 anymore. It begins to download the pictures and then a message saying access denied comes up and the download is halted. I have tried...

Easiest answer is to take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader on the computer. This will bypass any problem caused by the camera settings.

Possible reason for "access denied"- you may have protected the pictures in the camera to prevent accidental deletion. This would give "access denied" if you were moving the pictures to the computer rather than copying them, because the move function deletes the originals on the camera after making a copy on the computer. Use the right mouse button to drag the pictures and you will get a dialog allowing you to choose "move" or "copy". I similar problem can happen if the memory card has its write protect switch on.

You cannot do that if you're refering to an album cd disk, make sure that you have a cd writer and a multi session recordable disk
