If u using the Windows Xp do this....
(this method is for all hardware to disable or enable)
right click on my computer...
go to properties, then click on Hardware menu, inside this menu click on device manager, a popup menu will appear, now inside this menu u can enable or disable a device, now click on Display Adapter, inside this catagory u will find 2 devices, 1st one is your onboard video driver and the 2nd one is your card driver, here if u want to disable any one, just right click with mouse and disable it, restart will take effect well.....
Enjoy..
Good Luck

Check your BIOS - there should be a setting in there to disable the onboard video. You shouldn't need to use a jumper to disable this.

If you plug in a pci video card, sometimes the bios, not Windows disables the card on board.
If the onboard video is not being disabled from bios, then you will be able to use either one or the other video cards, no need to disable it manually.
If your system takes both cards and you want to disable one, then go to system properies/hardware/device manager and disable the unwanted video card from device list by ticking disable on device profile.
