SOURCE: Hamilton Beach 22505 toaster info

Usually, four screws under the bottom remove the top but the toast loader lever knob is usually press fitted on. Some units have bent tabs to hold them together if screws are not used. To remove the knob, freeze the unit (to shrink the knob/lever) then place a flat piece of wood like a ruler wrapped in cloth on the housing behind the knob and use a large bladed screwdriver to try to work the knob off. If you break it superglue and epoxy, and drawer knobs not plastic or wood might work as a replacement.

SOURCE: NEED TO KNOW THE OHMS VALUE FOR RESISTOR ON PEANUT 8685

I have the same problem, but it is open.  The color code Brown - Green - Brown - Gold.  If it is a resistor, the value must be 150 ohms +/- 5%.  To confirm the value, I open the working trimmer and remove one leg from the circuit and measure resistance.  The meter reads only 4 ohms.  Therefore, I think it is an inductor (150uH +/-5%), not resistor.

SOURCE: was given a Coleman power drill, model CMD8189. The charger is inoperable. The two resisters on the charger internal circuit board have been fried. The resistor codes have been burnt off, so I cannot

I need the same, but found a Makita multi-voltage charger and have been able to use it. The package says It is for Makita batteries only. HItachi also makes a universal battery charger. I found both at my local Lowe's. The Makita was originally $69, but was marked down to $25. The Hitachi was around $70. You can find either one for good prices on Ebay or Amazon.

Good luck!

Instructions for instructions forToaster Oven - Hamilton Beach Model = 22708 H, Series A4560B1

The manual for some Hamilton Beach Toaster Ovens are available from the Hamilton Beach support site, http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/use-and-care/use-and-care.php . However, the 22708H is not currenty available. The 22708, 22708C and 22708W are available. (I also see a 22709H and 22704H).

Check your model number and then see if the manuals for the similar models are close enough to use with your toaster oven. This is the direct link for the 22708 manual: http://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/files/840163301.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Hello
you can download a user manual from this site, http://www.retrevo.com/support/Hamilton-Beach-24600-manual/id/19533ag924/t/2/
click on the link or copy and paste link into a browser and on the site look for the download manual link, click on that to download a user manual, save it to your desktop to either print or just to read, this manual is a PDF file, if you do not have the program then you need to download a pdf program first from here and install it following the onscreen instructions after downloading.

Digital Display no longer showing, lever won't stay down

jsullivan22 is right about the diode. I have this problem with my 24502, which is a dual version of this. There are 2 circuit boards in your unit one with the LED display on it and another one. The diode needing replacing is on the other board. it is in the center of the board, right next to a large (1/2W or 1W) 2K ohm resistor. The diode is probably part number 3ez24d5. Test it with the diode test on your DMM, if it is bad you will get 0V both directions (I think). Also if you measure it with the Ohm function it will probably measure less than an Ohm (check the zero on your DMM as many are not accurate down this low) You can probably replace it with a <a id="ctl00_ContentMain_CartGrid_grid_ctl02_ctl00_lnkManufacturerPartNumber" href="http://mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=1N5934BGvirtualkey58410000virtualkey863-1N5934BG" style="font-weight: bold;">1N5934BG</a> or a <a id="ctl00_ContentMain_CartGrid_grid_ctl03_ctl00_lnkManufacturerPartNumber" href="http://mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=1N5359BGvirtualkey58410000virtualkey863-1N5359BG" style="font-weight: bold;">1N5359BG</a> Mouser stocks both of these&nbsp; (currently). I haven\'t gotten my parts so I can\'t guarantee these will work, but I\'m pretty sure. I will try the latter first as I\'m hoping it\'s higher power rating will keep it from burning out again, although I will be buying several spares. <br><br>This is clearly a design issue with these toasters and one that could be easily corrected. Both circuit boards in my toaster are very toasty in the area of these diodes, although I\'m sure the fact that these boards are mounted very close to the heating elements doesn\'t help their longevity.<br><br>Hope this helps everyone.
