Every driver under Other has been deleted or I suspect is just under my Ubuntu OS and not my Windows XP. This is a recent problem ever since i put Windows back onto my computer. I didn't really know where to mount it so i just piced at random. The main problem is that i donot have my hardware backup disc as this computer was a gift and did no come with them. Any clue what to do?

Dear Hazel, as per your idea, this e-system El-3101 most probably has not audio and video drivers installed on it. First of all, all you need to do is, to install the suitable audio and video drivers for the e-system laptop. To get the most suitable Drivers for your laptop, download the drivers from the manufacturers website only.
I don't what is the operating system you are working on this laptop, but I presume, the laptop has Windows XP installed on it. To download the proper drivers, you must select appropriate OS.
If you still unable to find proper drivers, you may install a new copy of Windows Vista or Se7en (if this laptop supports those OS, of course), because, this OS's have in-built audio and video drivers which can make your things easier.
OS xp doesnt come with sound drivers. U have to install sound drivers for ur system. see if u have it in ur motherboard cd, or else u have to download.
OS vista & win7 comes with sound drivers already.
UBUNTU is a linux open source OS. Chances are your camera doesnt have a Linux driver and wasnt designed to operate under Linux. The website http://www.ubuntu.com/support/communityis the user support community for UBUNTU.. I would post your question there for assistance from someone with a similar model for your laptop. There is also a selection for real time chat support from other UBUNTU users. I have checked DELL website under your unit and it was made to run the Windows XP system so there are no Linux drivers available directly from Dell.
To use it with Windows Vista, you must install the driver software for Windows Vista.
The Windows XP drivers for your product cannot be used under Windows Vista.
Easy-WebPrint and PhotoRecord do not support Windows Vista.
Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista :
upgrading your OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, delete / uninstall
all the Windows XP driver software first; then, upgrade the OS to
Windows Vista and install Vista driver software. If you have already upgraded your computer's OS to Windows Vista :
Delete / uninstall the Windows XP drivers before installing Vista drivers.
It has the latest mouse driver (logitech setpoint 4.0). Before installing Ubuntu the setup worked w/ SUSE/XP using GRUB dual boot. After installing Ubuntu XP does not see the usb mouse. Even Logitech setpoint does not have the mouse setup/configuration option. It appears that at boot it does not recognize the mouse or disables it. The BIOS has the usb keyboard and mouse enabled. Currently, I have two mices one for xp and either mouse will work under Ubuntu.
