Question about Lexmark S305 IMPACT LEXS All-In-One InkJet Printer

Just reinstalled windows 8. Now printer (Lexmark s305) will not print. It is connected through the internet; but says "no communication" when hit "print". What am I missing?

Reinstalled windows 8 because of a virus. Printer worked before; but not now. Lexmark won't help. HP won't help. Microsoft won't help. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Marilyn

Firstly printing through a network need to ensure you have internet access weather home or form the office.second having correct printer driver is very important. uninstall old drivers check devices manager for installation and devices details. if the problem persist check your USB printer cable the following link should be of help. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs/2007/2009-fall/v9842009_en.pdf

Error loading communication DLL on my Lexmark s305


Try to uninstall the Lexmark software. To do that, on your computer, press on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > S300 Series > Uninstall Lexmark S300 Series.

Then download an updated driver online. Just click on the link: Lexmark S305

Installed new printhead on Lexmark s305 and now my adobe photoshop elements 10 program can not scan but prints fine.


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/guXLhl. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

AFTER THE INK RUNNING OUT IN MY S305 I HAVE REPLACED ALL 4 CARTRIDGES TO FIND THE CYAN WILL NOT PRINT. REPLACED THE NEW CYAN CARTRIDGE WITH ANOTHER ONE AND STILL NOT PRINTING ANY BLUE.


In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken .

I have just bought printer Lexmark S305. I had no problems with istalation but printer does not print - on scren communicate "Printhead Unsupported". I have try everything for troubleshooting guide but...


If you just bought the printer I'd suggest you return it for a refund or replacement. I'm on my 4th Lexmark printer and have never had any significant problems.

Lexmark 730 Communication Not Available Error message with Vista


The first thing make sure your antivirus software has exception for Firewall Program Exceptions for allow access ..for the follwoing programs like "Printer Communication system" or "Lexbec server" or "Print Spooler" etc..If you dont know to check exceptions or create on try disabling the firewall and check..if your antivirus is expired uninstall it completely first..
then try this
Reinstall the Printer driver in the following Method..
Disconnect the Printer
1.Click>Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes and delete the The Printer that you are reinstalling the driver for delete all if there are more than 1 printer of the same.
2.Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs> Uninstall the Lexmark related Programs
3.Restart the computer
4.Start > Run > Type in "cmd"
5.now you will have command prompt Type this and hit enter "net stop spooler"
6.Click>Start>Run Type in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers" Hit Enter
7.You will have the following folder open rename the W32X86 folder to W32X86.OLD
8.Restart the computer
9.Insert the Lexmark CD and start installing the software Note : Connect the Printer only when the installation is prompted to connect..

This should defnitely take care of your problem..
Note if you are using vista try this first
Start type msconfig open that go to tools tab and disable UAC and restart and check..

Lexmark x2350 can not communicate. have unplugged and replugged electric and computer and still will not communicate


Power on your printer
Go to START
RUN
Type: services.msc
Click OK
Scroll down the list and find LEXBCE server
Double-click it
In the new window change the Startup type to AUTOMATIC
Then hit START
Click OK
This will start the Lexmark communication service.
Now, scroll down the list some more....
Find PRINT SPOOLER
Right-click on it and hit RESTART.
This starts/restarts the communication between your computer AND printer.
Try printing a test page. You should be good.
