Do I insert the printed paper into clear pouch & just put these 2 items into Smith Corona Laminator LX900? Do I need a heavy paper protector to surround these 2 items? How do I order a protector?

use what is called laminating pouches
you put what you want laminated in the pouch, centre it so that the edges all have the same space, wait until the green light on the laminator appears and enter the pouch with the folded end in first.
It will slowly move through and seal off as it goes
make sure that the pouch is entered square to the rollers or it will crease the finished product or jam the laminator
there is no need for any additional equipment

My needle keeps falling out. I unscrewed the set screw, put the new needle in, then it falls out. I had just taken out an old needle by unscrewing the set screw and didn't touch anything else. Help

Be sure to unscrew the set-screw and extra turn and then insure you are pushing the needle all the way up before tightening it. Could also mean the set screw is stripped...

I jammed the laminating machine, so I unscrewed and opened the machine...but now I don't know how to roll out the paper? Please help me find a way to take this out without breaking the machine!

Carefully try to turn the roller one direction and then the next. If they move, you will see the feed direction the paper loaded from. Carefully move the rollers in the opposite direction letting the paper unwind. Do not force the gears. Hopefully the paper is not fused to the rollers.

First, you must take out 4 screws out of the cover on each side of the laminator , then you will see the screws that hold the back panel onto the laminator. West Laminating secs 405-324-6092

A laminate and paper jam in a Gbc HeatSeal H425 Laminator

You need to loose the vertical plastic wall on the left side, and pull it up and to the left, only then you would be able to take pink rollers and metal piece away. Step by step do this (BTW, make pictures of each step if you think you will not be able to assemble it back) :

Download parts scheme here (if link is broken I can send you; write to ororeivis [at] g mail com):
http://www.gbcconnect.com/assets/docs/H425_PARTS_POUCH_LAMINATOR.pdf

Take the lid (3) off and hang it on the corner.
Next goes off (42) part.
Now focus on the left side. Take to the side part (30) with 7mm wrench. Then both parts (14) from both sides [4 in total]. Then both parts (2). Then take out screws that are holding this vertical plastic wall place. There is two screws from the outside of laminator in the bottom!
Then black roller (36) you lift up and take out by sliding to the side. Then two long black metal pieces.
Now you should be able to pull up and move to the left that vertical plastic wall on the left side of laminator. If not, try loosing some screws that are in this wall.
Be careful taking melted jammed stuff away from heating panel. Do not over-scratch it, as it is very sensitive.

I have a jam in my Brother MFC-440CN. I pulled out torn bits of paper four times. IT makes a horrible cranking sound when I try to start it up and still says "Paper Jam". Can I unscrew the...

You may unscrew the screws to look through it to look for remaining paper in the printer if the printer is disconnected from the wall outlet.

Paper Jams can be frustrating to repair.

Good luck on this.

How do i replace the screen? I have another screen from the same model and need to swap it over

Well this is quite a hard one. You have to unscrew all the screws from the bottom side of the laptop. You have to unscrew the screws that keep the keyboard in place. After doing this you have to unplug the cables that power the screen, the keyboard and other stuff. Near the hinges you will see some screws. Usually 2 per side. Unscrew those ones.
If you have only the panel, only the lcd screen without the plastic component/ border you have to unscrew the screws on the side of the screen. If you have in one piece just screw it to the chassis.
Screw all the components that you unscrewed before.
It is a tedious operation and it is better to take the laptop to a specialised workshop. It is safer, even though it is a little bit expensive.
If you need further assistance just leave a comment. Cheers
