SOURCE: Toshiba Satellite 5005-S504 3 USB Ports not functioning

I don't think a wire is the problem as they are soldered to mobo. It is more than likely a power problem. If you go to the hardware tab in device manager and go down to usb root hub>right click and properties then look at the power tab and you will see a 500MA allowance on usage. You can easily go above these if you are using them, so check that they are all active. Also go to control panel>admin tools>services and look down list for 'plug n play' and make sure it is set at automatic and 'universal plug and play' is set at manual

Sounds like a virus or malware....might be, might not be, just on the safe side, go to the link below and download the program MalwareBytes. Let it update when it installs and then it will perfrom a quick scan. When it is finished, click on the "show results" button, delete all that it finds and reboot.

Toshiba satellite L305-s5955 will not power up

If there is no power light and it can't charge your laptop, it is likely that the charger is dead. You need a new laptop charger. So try a new adapter to confirm the real issue.

There are two kinds of ac adapters for your toshiba l305-s5955

Toshiba Satellite L305 AC Adapter 75Watt 19V 3.95A

Toshiba Satellite L305 AC Adapter 90Watt 19V 4.74A

You should choose the right charger depending on your original adapter's specification. If the original one need 90w, you won't buy 75w that will bring damage to your laptop. If it needs 75w you can use 90w too.

Toshiba satellite l305-s5933 have up at startup with blck screen background and tioshiba writing and the centre. asks to press F2 to go to setup or f12 to go to boot manager but when you press nothing...

Sounds like a corrupt bios to me. Download the latest for your particular laptop from the Tosh site and create a bootable usb with the relevant flash file. Restart and then try to access the bios again from F2

Usb damage

It wouldn't hurt to be honest about what happened with the service plan provider and see what they say. It would be a shame to have to replace your computer over a broken USB port. You can always purchase a USB hub which plugs into one USB port and supplies you with two or more USB ports.

Good Luck,

My wireless internet doesn't work, and the on/off switch is turned on

Hi,  Please do the following: Start>Run>type devmgmt.msc>under device manager>Right click on Wireless network adapter>uninstall, once done, click on scan for hardware changes on top. the network adapter would be back on its place. If that doesn't resolve the problem, reinstall the driver for wireless network adapter using the link given below: http://www.drivershq.com/Drivers/Toshiba/Satellite/L305-S5894/4183/9941/42341/Drivers.aspx

hope this resolves your issue.
