SOURCE: coleman tsr mach 3 RV Air Conditioner

the fan motor bearings need lub....the shaft has a tiny access hole to put some oil into. because the fan shaft is slowing down, it is putting more strain on the voltage current, and eventually the internal breaker shuts down the ac........plus your condenser is not getting enough air accross it, compressor heats up, and it too will shut the unit down......older units have to be oiled every year, and eventually it too will fail, and a new blower motor assembly is needed or replace the ac unit.....blower motor units are around $130....now you install it or pay to have it done at around another $150 labor,,,,,try yourself, if it fails then call the tech........let me know ..ray..yyzazz@ao.com

SOURCE: coleman tsr rv air conditioner leaks into rv when running

It probably has a clogged condensate drain. Take off the cover on top the RV and check hoses or tubes leaving unit for debris or lint. Often this water is used to help cool the condenser so look for leaves pine needles etc in the pan. There may be a cover you can remove on the evaporator section that will allow you to clean the collection pan and hose or trough. Is it possible the RV is far enough out of level that the condensate can't "run uphill"? Always power off while working on this unit unless you are electric savvy. Good luck!

Check that the thermostat is OK. You can do this with an Ohmmeter or a Volt Meter. If it is cool only, there are two terminals on the rear. Cut power to the AC and remove these wires and with an ohmmeter, check the two terminals for continuity. If there is none, then turn the dial all the way to the coldest setting and see if it changes. If not, you have a bad thermostat. If you have continuity and the compressor still does not come on, check the Start Capacitor in the upstairs unit.

SOURCE: a.c compressor kicks on and off

How long has it been there, without experiencing any problems? This just start recently? Have you cleaned intake air filters at ceiling? Fan keeps running?

You need to check the Amp draw at start up of the compressor. Also if you have a meter that can check the compressor capacitor, it needs to be checked. If the capacitor is ok and the compressor starts at a higher Amp draw than the rating on the capacitor, you will need a start capacitor.

My Coleman rv mach3 63134cst which is about 3 years old won't cycle and freezes up when it runs to long. Ice forms on coils.

If coils are clean, or have been cleaned recently, then check your discharge side of unit for restriction. It may require you to take down ceiling assy, to be sure that there is nothing blocking the duct work inlets, if it is a ducted system. Also if ducted system, make sure you don't have too many blocked/shut off. As well you should have a freeze probe, or round sensor in the coils at front where intake filter goes over, (evaporator) to sense the frost, and kick compressor out until it thaws. When was the last time the evaporator and condenser (rear) coils were cleaned?

Coleman TSR Mach air conditioning roof mount trips breaker

The simplest answere to start is it' looks like the compressor is the ssue." Either it has siezed"or in my oppinion needs a proper household power to activate it. If the voltage drop on these units is a little below a certain value, it will not start and will burn out. Thats why i suggest a household power be tried first. I feel your generator is a little undersized. You will only know once you have applied household power.

My Mach3 coleman ac compressor hums but wont start. trips breaker. I replaced the start capacitor with a hard start. still wont run?

unfortunaletly the hartd start is a "last resort" and you will probably need to replace the compressor/unit... (however I have had luck physically jarring the compressor during the instant I applied power to the compressor.. sounds silly, but I have had it work more than once..) hope this helps

Tsr mach3 conditioner

The smell is because of the stuff growing inthe water from the air conditioner. When you run the a/c it keeps the water condensed on the coil. When you turn the a/c off and run just the fan, it allows the water to warm up and start evaporating thus allowing the goodies in the water to become airborn. It would be adviseable to have the unit disassembled and cleaned by a professional due to the obvious danger of mixing water and cleaning chemicals with electrical equipment

Dirty coils might be your problem. You might have a refrigerant problem as well. Try cleaning it first then have a tech put gages on it. Doesn't sound too serious

I don't think you need a new one just a good cleaning and service. The unit has a liquid high temperature line near the compressor with a fan blowing outside air across it this coil gets clogged over time with air-borne dirt and pollen and leaves and such and must be cleaned regularly or the unit will be unable to remove the heat from the coil and during the peak demand (3pm) the circuits that protect the compressor and the trailer wiring from being overloaded and burning or melting will trip. From what you have described it sounds like the RV is working as it should with a condenser coil that needs to be cleaned. GL and happy camping!
P.S. I've only serviced the occasional RV unit but in those cases I laid a piece of plywood on top of the Rv for work platform removed the retaining screws from the top cover and used a spray bottle with a good heavy foaming cleaner a shop-vac and a brush to get the job done.
