The problem occurs when trying to change a low ink cartridge before you are prompted to do so. In that event, you must go to setup, maintenace, change cartridge and it will move the cartridge into position.Do not try to force the cartridge into position.

Printhead cartridge jams

Hello, sorry took so long but, seems to be a paper jam or loose ink cartridge, open lid with unit unplugged and try and see any paper jammed in rollers or pieces of paper, then with that done and hopefully fixed but if not, close lid and turn unit on then open lid to access print cartridges make sure they are installed right and the right ones in the right slots if the cartridge unit don't move so as to load cartridges in try to gently pull it to position as a cartridge may have not been locked in or jarred loose.good luck hope this is of some help.

When trying to print the screen shows Error 5110. The manual shows 5100 as an object stopping the Print Head from moving. I can find nothing that is stopping the print head from moving which can be done...

was it was turned off while the lid was open and an ink cartridge was out

If you accidentally turned it of while the lid was open and the ink cartridge was out of place, you can try to push the cartridge gently back to shift it to it's place.

Error 5100

Hi,

Try this... it worked on my MP450... Turn the printer on and open the lid, it shows the cartridges. Now let the cartridges settle to the left. You can notice that the cartridges run on a metal belt. It might be dirty, mine showed a black stripe on it. Take a cloth, a Kleenex will be fine and clean it up. Move the cartridges to the right (force them with your hand) and clean the part of the belt left behind them. Now turn it off, close it up and turn it back on. It should work

Regards,
Ron

Problems with dell all-in-one 920 printer

1. turn off the printer
2. remove power cable.
3. move ink cartridges to center manually
4. clean the metallic rod with kleenex or WD40 if required
5. Make sure that lids are properly snapped in for ink cartridges.
6. Connect power cable and try again to print

let me know if that works

Ink Cartridge

Make sure the power is on when you open the lid. The cartridges should move into the center so you can get to them. If they don't, close the lid, remove the power supply and reinsert it. Turn the printer back on and try again.
