Make sure the vent on top of the unit is not obstructed. Did someone flush something that isn't supposed to be flushed? Baby wipes or feminine napkins are an absolute no-no. If the macerator blades have been tangled from something like these items, it will have to be taken apart to be cleaned. DW

Can you tie into a common dscharge pipe when plumbing a sanivite and saniplus?

I think it can be done , but it may be against the local code for your area. The obvious concern is back up of sewage in the sink, and washing machine.

Purc'd 4/25/10, just recently cold or cool water is extremely slow fillimg. WHY?

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You may have a pump going bad or the water pump may be clogged. Try taken it out and cleaning the pump. More then likely, this will solve your problem. Articles can get down there and clog the machine up.

Motor will not shut off unless disconnected from the electrical outlet. Unit is connected to toilet - tub & sink. Unit model is: Sanivite EN 12050-2 FF0V30 120v 60Hz 5,7A 4/10 HP age 4 yrs.

The Sanivite is a gray water pump, does not have a connection for a toilet. It has a pressure chamber inside the pump casing and a float switch at the bottom of pressure chamber. You will find a black rubber membrane which water pressure pushes up on the membrane and turns the unit on and off. It could be that something is stuck at the bottom of the membrane keeping it in the on position the whole time or the membrane might be warped. Also the micro switch may be stuck on the on position. Pry open the lid with a flat head screwdriver and inspect the pressure chamber.

I have a 3 year old Sanivite 3 macerator that has stopped pumping. It is used under the kitchen sink for removing water and soft food waste. Yesterday I removed the unit and cleaned the inside which was...

if the unit is properly clean and you have checked the fuse - then i suggest it is the microswitch that needs replacing. these tend to go (break) within 5 years on the sanivite 3 models. If not the swich then it could be the capacitor (try this first - although as the swich is located next to the capacitor you can test this for operation at the same time). if none of this works then its time for a new unit.

Water is coming out but extremely slow

You have a sock or a small item of clothing blocking the inlet to the pump.

Lay the drain hose down into a bucket to get all of the water out of the machine.

Take the back panel off and undo the clip holding the hose to the pump inlet from the drum make sure you have a shallow dish underneath to catch any water remaining in the hose.

Remove the hose and retrieve the clothing

Water dispenser is slow

There is no pump in this refridgerator to provide cold water. Water arrives via pressure from the household cold water line that has to be provided to the rear of your fridge. Two possible solutions:
1. The filter in the upper right of the refrigeration (not the freezer) is clogged by normal minerals, etc. It should be changed at least every year, unless you have major sediment in your household water lines.
2.) The amount of water being delivered to the rear of the refigeratior is being restricted somehow. Trace from the connection on the back of the fridge to see where the water line (either thin plastic line or a small, flexible copper pipe) travels to a cold water line in the house. Look for kinks in the pipe and also look for any shutoff valves that are turned almost closed.

Slow draining water and leaking

It needs to be inspected by an appliance repair guy. Your water pump may have a loose coupling causing low pump pressure, or the path water takes out of the machine is blocked.
