Please provide travel route from PE to JHB in detail,thanks

From Johannesburg drive south with the N1 tollroad past Bloemfontein until you get to the town of Colesberg. (Use www.shellgeostar.co.za to determine the distances.)

The small town of Colesberg is well geared as an overnight stop and has many very affordable guesthouses.

I would sleep here.

I have stayed in Colesberg many times while travelling south. Amongst other, I have stayed at Colesview Guesthouse.

This a a good option. Not super luxurious but very clean and neat, quite affordable.

A little more upmarket is Honeylocust guesthouse or The Lighthouse, where I have also stayed.

I would recommend the first one as an first option.

From Colesberg turn left towards Middelburg, then Cradock and then PE.

A train leaves Middelburg at 09:00 and arrives in Johannesburg at 11:00 having traveled a distance of 180 km. Find the average speed of the train in m/s.

Journey time 2hrs = 2 x 60 mins = 2 x 60 x 60 seconds
Distance 180 km = 180,000 m
Average speed = 3 x 6 x 10000 / 2 x 6 x 6 x 100 m/s
= 6 x 6 x 100 x 100 / [2 x (2 x 6 x6 x100)] m/s
= 100 / 4 m/s
= 25 m/s

The stopping distance d of a car after the brakes are applied varies directly as the square of the speed r. If a car traveling 40 mph car stop in 90ft, how many feet will it take the same car to stop when...

The stopping distance is proportional to square of speed.

that is 90ft proportional to 40^2 mph.

We can write as 90 = X * 40^2. ( X is a constant of proportionality) .

Which implies X = 90 / 1600 = .05625.

Assume S be the distance at which car stops when the speed is 90 mph.

S = X * 90^2. ( since X does not vary as same car is used)

=> S =.05625 * 8100 = 455.625 ft.

Thank you.
