Question about Sony Handycam DCR-HC42E Mini DV Digital Camcorder
My Camera Power goes off after 2 Mins. and not working thereafter. I have to remove the Battery from the position and fix again after 2 mins. then again power goes off after 2 mins. Service centre people say problem with the main board of the camera and the replacement cost is more than the camera price. If any body is having solution for this?

If this happens then either your battery doesn't have enough charge or maybe it hasn't been used for quite sometime.
The best thing to do is to run the camera on DC power through the adapter. The cassette should go in now. Don't forget to take out the battery first.

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
