Speeding up computers

Hey Guys,
I fried my old mother board, and bought a cheap $95 2.4GHz cpu powered pc. I changed the cpu with my old one a 3GHz (from the burnt mobo, is actually 1.5 but hyperthreaded to make it look like 2???). I have 2 cpu, but one phisyical. Anyway... my question is, my other half liked the speed of it as hers was slowish. It was 2.4 GHz. This new pc, is actually slower than the old pc that I upgraded here from. Shouldn't be that much slower than mine, but I am using it now, and yeah, is slow. Is there a way I can speed it up? Hyperthread this cpu/ overclock? I am not sure, but I DO know, that I need my pc back. Other half using it atm.

I use auslogic boost speed, atf cleaner, cc cleaner, and wise registry cleaner/ wise disk cleaner. So I got all the junk// temp registry stuff cleaned. I have since found out, that if I can find a process with a "c" on it, I can hyperthread it. I just have to find one lmao

Speed up your computer by:

-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk

do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.

Thanks

1. sorry my friend dont do like that, some motherboard wont support such type of processors.
2.some board shows the maximum clock speed installed by the manufacturer in the Bios
3.if you put more Ghz Processor on that board and expect the same speed and clock to be shown on the screen, i think it is not possible

Computer not working. checked the power sup & its good. I see a light blinking in the mother board (next to the power connecter. How can I fix it?

Hmmm... if it won't turn on make sure the power button is pluged into the motherboard correctly.. if it is already and your computer still won't power up try switching out the power supply because sometimes they only go out partially, i had that happen with my old computer, the pwer supply only powered half the motherboard and unfortunantly it powered the cpu but none of the fans and completely fried my processor. Hope this helps, Daniel

I have an asus a7n8x-la mother board. It ran fine except the cpu cooling fan would speed up and the cpu heat sinc was very warm as compared to others. Finally it would not boot or go to post with the beep....

First of all set the BIOS default.
i think somebody change your Bios settings like-- over clocking or speeding fan etc etc.
add comment for further assistance.
Good Luck!

Most likely problem is an unsuppoterd cpu. Check the Asus website to see if cpu you installed is compatible with this board.

Msi 654e max atx mother board

If your manual states a max of 2.2GHZ then, take it as that, when your board was made the bios and bus speeds would be set at the maximum to run a 2.2GHZ, not a 3GHZ, also the heat sink and fan may not be enough to cool the processor. The only way that a 3GHZ would run was if you updated the bios and personally i would not recommend it. You would be better advised updating the board and processor as a package ot fitting more memory if the pc is not used for gaming or high end video editing.
