Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
Hi i have a acer aspire 5315 and have recently 1gb of ram (elixir) ddr2 667
then subsequently updated my drivers, ever since then while playing World of Warcraft the game freezez blinks to black the has the error message
"igfx driver has stopped working but has recovered" and once it does this 3 or 4 times i have to restart the game. i am unsure as to wheather it is the ram or the drivers.
A friend told me that installing older drivers may fix the problem but vista won't let me (or im doing it wrong) please help.
Not sure what info you might need so ask me and ill do my best to provide it for you. Hope you can help. cheers Josh from melbourne.
Igfx driver means your graphics driver. Intel Extreme Graphics Driver.
Update your graphics driver or re-install and it will fix the thing. Its a problem with your ram if you have on board VGA which uses ram as the memory. Download and Install drivers required for your graphics driver. You can find them from the Intel site.
Changing dram settings might work but it has to be done with caution coz it has to be done in bios settings.
Relax memory timings and
Underclock the video card
mmm might work also.
please rate the answer if it works for you Thanks Best of Luck
