To start the Setup Utility program, do the following:
1.
If your computer is already on when you start this procedure, turn off the
computer.
2.
Repeatedly press and release the F1 key when turning on the computer. When
you hear multiple beeps or see a logo screen, release the F1 key.
Note:
If a Power-On Password or an Administrator Password has been set, the
Setup Utility program menu is not displayed until you type the correct
password.

Biostar 945GC-M7 restart before anything apears on screen

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/introduction.php?S_ID=303#dl

This sounds possibly like a RAM problem. Or a hard drive problem ( bad sectors), or the powersupply. Try to replace the RAM.

When you we`re starting XP, did you see any blue screens just after the logo?

Try to start in fail safe mode by pressing F8, if it boots normal it`s not the harddrive.

So all I can think of at the moment is faulty RAM. Try run a memory test (that memtest86 or whatever it is) and see if it fails. If so, buy new RAM.

Hope that helps

Trying to reformat my PC but can't get into BIOS set up.

Hey,

Seems the screen is slow to start up, right after pressing the power button, keep tapping on f1 or f10 untill the bios screen or something else comes up. that will definitely get you into the bios and dont mind if the computer starts to beep, slow down a little and keep tapping.

Thanks,
Ekse
