Try dusting off the whole console and blow into the CD hole
thats the only thing i can think of
if it doesn't work then i'd say you find someone or company that can fix them

Everything works blue light comes on but will not read a disc everything work on the console but will not read a game disc power did go off one night last week tryed ererything in the Manual

Hi there pokelawn

What to do when your Wii Has problems with reading disks and you have tried cleaning the disk.

This does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it just needs the laser to be readjusted.

Option 1

You can send this off to Nintendo if your still in warranty because it is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for you, fix it and return the Wii to you, all for free, but it will take 4-6 weeks.

Option 2

If you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $150 in cost

Option 3

now a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.

Option 4

What I recommend is a Wii Repair Guide that will show you the simple steps yourself, you will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far less than option 2 & 3

Good Luck

My wii keeps showing the following message and will not work: An error has occured, press eject button, remove disc, turn off power to console and read operation manual. What can i do to sort this out?

Dear,

Seems like you are having some Wii technical issues here. Usually, it is recommended to take your gaming console to the Nintendo repair shop which costs you huge and takes 2-3 weeks of time for the entire repair procedure. The cycle keeps on going again and again no matter what!

But I have a solution for you. There is this Easy & Complete Nintendo Wii Repair Guide available online that you can buy for once and then fix your gaming console at home without anyone's help. It requires zero technical knowledge and even a person with no technical background can fix Wii with the help of this Wii Repair Manual. It has numerous pictures, charts, graphs, and step by step instructions which would never let you down.

Trust me, I bought one for my sister and now we not only fix our own gaming console, but we are able to fix others' consoles as well and make money out of it. Try it! Its worth it.

Nintendo wii message reads: error occured remove disc turn off console check operations manual for information! on 2 new games

Hi,

Some older Wii units also have trouble with Dual Layer Discs, which pack more info onto a disk like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime. If your Wii is having trouble reading a dual layer disc you can try Nintendo's Wii lens cleaning kit. the other resolution for this is to change the laser on the system but it will cost you for that. Try to clean the lens first it might read the new disk.

Thanks for using Fixya.

My nintendo wii won`t read the disc`s

lens cleanes are a pretty useless invention. they never work correctly.

How old is this Wii2_bing.gif? If it is out of warranty then you will need to get the triwing drivers2_bing.gif and follow this guide to calibrate the laser and manually clean it: http://www.fixya.com/support/r4192169-fix_calibration_cd_dvd_drive_no_disc

if this is in warranty, call nintendo and have it serviced so you dont' void the warranty opening the box yourself

Brand New WII Console won't read any disc's

If it's new you can return it to the store or contact nintendo for a replacement. It's possible you simply got a bad one.
