Make a non-stick skillet non-stick again

David, If the skillet has a teflon coating and that coating is starting to break down just dump that skillet, you will never repair it and it is toxic to the kidneys. If it is cast iron then you will have to clean all the burnt food of dry the skillet, Dry it with heat and coat it with oil, flaxseed oil works well. slowly raise the temp of the skillet and hold it for about 30 mins then just let it cool.
Dry well and coat it with a little oil after each use,, same for carbon steel. The non-stick properties will improve with use.

I find that in viewing this site that the listed " solution" is not a solution at all! This skillet has a defective design and coating and should be recalled!
