Problem for Amana DLW330RA Top Load Washer
Amana - noise while washing, not when spinning

There is a noise, kind of squeaky,grinding noise while the washer is washing, However, it does not make the noice while it is spinning. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

There is a device called an Oldham coupling that connects the output of the electric motor to the transmission on the tub. It uses rubber vibration dampers in the coupling. Get some WD 40 and spray it generously on the coupling. You will have to tilt the machine nearly onto its side to see and spray the coupling so get some help.
