Re: EPSON CX3650

You typically test print when you install it but if you need to realign it, you can go into printer proterties and change your settings to default..

if it's printing still and it won't stop, then you can right click on the printer icon located in your tast bar at bottom
--it will show a printer pic--
you can click on the task you want to cancel then right click to cancel all work in progress..

that should take care of, it, if not please let me know if i can be of further assistance to you.. thanks, d

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

The ink reservoir doesnt have to be completely empty to fail. Replace the cartridges. Some of the jets or all of them may be clogged especially if you have not used your printer in a while. If there are cleaning instructions in the manual clean the jets and then try to print from the printer's self test

My epson cx5500 does not print (test print ) I've been through a nozzle check and have fresh cartridges.... just end up with a blank page

If the inkjet printer has not been used for some time, and the ink cartridges are full then the print head nozzles may be blocked. If running the maintenance nozzle cleaning does not clear the print head nozzles then the print head will need to be replaced.
NOTE - inkjet print heads are not cheap, it may be better to purchase a new inkjet printer.

Printer Epson DX6000 ... all new cartridges .... will not print any text. I can print the head clean test page as well as the head alignment page ... but no text

You said all new cartridges.. But are they Epson Genuine Cartridges???? I had the same problem when I replaced with new, but generic cartridges.
After finally, going thru 2 sets of each, removed them and put in Genuine., and finally, everthing started printing fine. Weird , but true.

Problem for Epson Stylus C84 InkJet Printer
Re: C84 I'm using generic ink, but the red
By mclamemo on Nov 12, 2009 re: C84 I'm using generic ink, but the red doesn't work at all. I've done all the printer cleaning programs and swabbed inside the printer with alcohol, and re-inserted the cartridge multiple times. it still doesn't print at all.

Also now even the black every few lines prints the top half of the line or the bottom half of the line, or its smeared, etc...

I have learned from experience, that Epson does not like generic ink. You must use Epson Genuine Cartridges. Hopefully, you haven't screwed up the printer, like I did. I did try cleaning the heads and doing everything possible. Use 2 cartridges of ech set, for cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. ......But Nothing.
Had to go out and purchase a new printer.;

When I print/copy it is missing lines of ink and not getting the whole image. I replaced the ink and have cleaned the head

Sometimes it requires several head cleaning passes to fix missing lines. Make sure the test pattern after cleaning has no gaps. Print the test page. If test page is bad and you have replaced all ink cartridges, then junk the printer or call Epson for a replacement. Even if out of warranty, the may give you a great deal.

Epson CX4800 cannot clean the print heads

Please remove the cartridges from the printer. Take a dry lint free paper towel and gently wipe the contacts on the back of the cartridge (not the bottom from where ink is present). Wipe the contacts inside the printer (on cartridge carrier). Please snap the cartridges back into the cartridge carrier and please try to print a printer self test.

Epson CX3650 printing gaps

Remove ink cartridges one by one and put it back in. If same thing happens, try to do head cleaning and nozzle checks consecutively from the computer.

Start -> Control Panel -> Printers & Faxes (Windows XP) / Printers (Windows Vista) -> Printer Icon (right click) -> Printing Preferences -> Maintenance

You should be able to see nozzle check, click it and follow the prompt. Line patterns that corresponds to the colors of the ink cartridges would be printed. If breaks on the patterns appear, continue with head cleaning. Try to do this about 3 times until all patterns are complete.

White lines in the printout

If the lines are horizontal (across the page) it is quite possible that your refilled carts are at fault. I would suggest you try the underhead cleaning method as described in my previous post - If this has little effect I would suggest you bin the refilled carts and get a full set of genuine ones to put in. The refill process can easily introduce air into the sponge which retains it and causes the ink to foam. This is then dragged down into the print head and and causes problems with print quality. If you still have issues after the underhead cleaning and new carts have been installed, get in touch with The Service Manual Shop and get the Epson software they have which allows you to make lots of adjustments to the printer. You should try running the alignment routines to check the Bi-Di printing is inline.
