Question about Hunter (25417) Ceiling Fan
My Hunter fan will only work on low speed or when I pull the chain to the "off" setting. The fan is 6 years old and has been doing this since the day I pulled it out of the box.
I've seen other postings when the fan stuck on high... I wish that were the case with mine. It is mounted on a 12 foot ceiling and not easy to get to.
The fan stays on low speed until I pull the chain enough times for it to land in the off position.

It seems to me you have a faulty switch or the internal wiring is wrong. You can access the switch from the bottom of the fanwhere the light kit is connected. the wiring could have gotten mixed up when the light kit was installed.
