How to wire six wire to three wire termenal

I'm pretty sure this thermostat uses digital communications with a dometic control board. In other words, there are no contacts in the digital thermostat to turn something on and off. Even if you ran a 12VDC wire to the thermostat for power, it won't work to replace a "real" thermostat. I bought one to replace my old analog thermostat and it's not going to work for me.

Blower fan only runs in positions 1-3, not on 4; relay or resistor?

Remove blower motor resistor and check to see if it discolored or melted. if so then replace blower motor resistor, also blower motor speeds 1-4 go through resistor, 5 goes direct from switch to blower motor. check wire harness connector at resistor, it should have six wires five power wires that corralate with the five settings on switch, so in each switch setting one wire should have power. the sixth wire is the ground. also harness connector to resistor it may be melted, if so go to dealer with vin number and get new harness connector with resistor.
I hope this helped.

I am trying to install a Honeywell programmable thermostat and am having trouble with the instructions. The old thermostat connections are identified by wire color, six of them, W, O, G, R, C, Y, but the...

It sounds like you have a heat pump, o (orange) is usually used to power a reversing valve in your outdoor unit for cooling. But just in case you don't here is a little info Rh-power for the heating circuit, W- completes heating circuit, Y to your outdoor unit for cooling, Rc- power for the cooling circuit, and G power to your high speed fan.

O for your heatpump
C is 24v common for cooling circuit
If you do have a heat pump, you will have to get a thermostat that is compatable with heat pumps. Hope this helps

Wire nut or tape the black off. The red is normally 24volt supply power to the t-stat. Blue may or may not be the common. Have a voltmeter?

Stuck in defrost mode after changing timer and thermostat

Amana adaptive defrost:

Press refrigerator light switch five times in six seconds to initiate defrost cycle. Pressing five more times within six seconds will cancel defrost and go straight into the run mode. Similar operation on both bottom mount and SxS refrigerators. After the defrost terminator/thermostat opens, six minutes of dwell time occurs before the compressor and condenser fan motor will operate. After defrost terminator/thermostat open, 10 minutes of dwell time occurs before the evaporator fan motor will operate.
