Sometimes it is the heater element in the dryer. Other times the main circuit breaker has tripped one leg. Some 220V-230V breakers have two trip switches that are tied together. One half of the breaker runs the motor and the other half operates the heater. A defective breaker can also cause the problem.

It is caused by three possible candidates:

(1) The thermal fuse
(2) Heating element
(3) High limit thermostat.

Have these devices checked out and replace the faulty part.

My maytag front loader gas dryer blows hot and then blows cold what could be the problem?

Hello

When the dryer wont dry clothes or won't heat at all it means that the issue is with the Thermostat/Thermal fuse that needs replacement as it has gone bad. Please check the thermostat for continuity as no continuity between its two pins states bad fuse. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hello, I have an LG DLE0442W electric dryer. It is about 2 years old. It started to take a long time to dry so I checked the venting and it seems fine. I also checked the breaker and it had not tripped....

Hello Mrs. Noble- I would ask if you have gone to the outside of the house and felt the air flow out of the dryer vent where it exits the exterior wall, if you have, and it is blowing strong then you may have a problem with a thermostat or thermal fuse. You should probably have an LG Tech out to diagnose the issue if the venting is not an issue. Good luck and best regards.

The dryer that we own stopped drying the cloths..instead of hot air it blows cold air.. LG cloth care 7.0kg "DT-V 70120 E" please provide me with instant assistance..

it sounds as though your heating element is bad. you will need to replace this, you will have to take the screws off on the inside of dry door and pry up on the top corners with a flat tip as this will remove you front panel, the door switch will have to be disconnected, you can then lift the top up and rest it in the up position, the coil is in the back right corner looks like a spring that has sprung. It is not that hard to replace the hardest part is taking off the front panel. The coil will run from like 29-40 or so dollars. Just remember to unplug the machine first. Hope this helped tim

Our dryer does not blow hot air? The cloths do not

more than likely the heating element has gone out. if your clothes have no heat then the element is the most likely cause. you can get one for anywhere between $30 - $50. you'll need to know model and serial #'s. usually easy to replace.

Will not dry clothes, blows cold air.

need brand.most dryers have thermal fuse that protect the element from going bad.I would first check your breaker and make sure it isnt tripped.a dryer will run but not heat if breaker is tripped.

Does not heat

"Steam drying will get how but the air that comes later to actually dry is cold so the clothes never dry"

I am assuming "how" means hot in this sentence, if so, I think I can help! There is no "steam drying" phase for your dryer so what is probably happening is; the wet clothes are being heated properly [as a result causing steam] however if this steam does not escape frum the dryer it will simply condense back onto the clothing [leaving them moist/wet].
Check your flexible tube from the dryer and the vent on the outside of your home to make sure they are unobstructed. Hope this helps!
