Re: Make this thing play the songs in the order they are...

You can do one of two things. rename the songs with starting with 1, 2, 3, etc. Or make playlists and use them. The playlists play in the order the song is added to it.

My Insignia CD player says there's no disc when there is.

Try a lens cleaner. Also, ensure that your disks are clean. If you're playing CD-Rs, make sure that the disks have been finalized properly. If the problem persists, you may carry the unit in to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

How many songs can I expect to load on the 2gb Insignia NS-DV2G?

It should be able to collect about 666 songs if the song's size is 3mb.

To calculate it your self; 2gb is the same as 2000mb. So divide 2000 by 4 or 3 depending on the size of the song and this would give you the exact amount.

Take for example, if the songs are 4MB, then you would divide 2000MB(2GB) by 4 which will give you 500. That's it would take 500 songs if the songs are 4MB each.

Take care.

How do i download music from my laptop to the insignia ns-dv2g

Rhapsody Online does not burn or rip CDs, transfer to devices, or play music offline. To obtain these features, you will need the full-version Rhapsody. You need the full version to rip music from a cd and take it to your insignia ns-dv2g
That's what stinks with this Best Buy brand. You could try to do it with WMP.

Let me know if this helps

It sounds like you are having a firmware issue.

Easiest solution is to connect the NS-DV2G to your computer and place the firmware file on it. When you disconnect, the firmware will install. You'll loose all your settings and probably all your songs, but it should correct your player.

This is for the NS-DV2G:

Good luck!

Cant Install Or Replay Playlists NS-DA2G

I called insignia. An extremely rude cust. service rep. told me that the player doesn't work with itunes playlists and is ONLY mac compat. as a storage device.

What a crap answer! I actually can get songs on the thing and they play, but playlists are a lost cause.

Sometimes technology sucks.......
