Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
WS-5531 rear projection works fine for about an hour then turns off on its own. I try to turn it back on but it clicks off before the picture comes on. after leaving it off for a half hour it will work for a while again.
Sounds like thermal overheating. Is the TV in a "cabinet". If so...overheating is likely, Also...if the set is more than a few years old, you should clean all fans and filters (front, side, back) as approprite. Check the lamp and cooling fan...is it dirty? If so...cleaning is needed as inadequate air flow is most likely the culprit.
