Slinteriors, would you be able to email me or make contact regarding the issue with my 53" panasonic tv.

would the problem be that the IC has failed? and is there anything else within the circuit that may have also failed?

where would be the best place to buy the IC required to replace the faulty one and would you have the part #

    Thanks

    Derek

Count the led blink as thats an error code. If it blinks three times its indicating the convergence Circuit has failed. Let me know the actual blink number and I will assist you.

5 blinks means there is a problem with IC4511 on the DG board.

Power would not stay on red led flashes

I do not think we will get a response from person asking but you are correct, number of blinks indicates where problem is, the two most common are either a sequence of 3 blinks or one of 5 blinks.

Hard to help unless blink count is known.

Hello, I have a 53-inch Panasonic PT-53WX42F TV, and it refuses to turn on. No picture, no sound. All it does is the tiny red power light blinks 3 times repeatedly. Can I fix this myself? What parts do I...

Thats a convergence failure when the led blinks 3 times. Your model uses the PT47WX42 convergence repair kit available from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the parts and the CD with instructions for the repair.

Projection HDTV won't power up, red LED flashes in front

i am having same problem. 3 flashes indicate convergence problem according to auto diagnostics that you are seeing(info from service manual).
i am starting by replacing stk392-110 convergence amp ic($6 at electronic.com). just ordered them, will let you know how it goes. please check this site-- http://biobug.org/ht/panasonic/ -- very good step-by-step on procedure.
will need service manual afterward. email me if you want copy.
good luck and godspeed,

Panasonic PT-51HX43G no power, red light flashes

I have a Panasonic PT53TW53G projection tv that had the same problem for power .A terrific person gave us wonderful advice and it fixed our tv! We were told to replace the IC conversion amplifiers. On our model they are STK392-110 (your's may be different). We ordered the parts from www.electronix.com and they were only $12. for the two parts. We also had to purchase a soldering iron and de-soldering vac for removal/replacement of parts. Good Luck!
