Problem for Avion AV-DVR100 DVD Recorder

How do you turn off the progressive scan

By Brenda796 on Nov 03, 2007

We finally figured out that the progressive scan has been activated on our DVR100. Apparently our TV doesn't support the progressive scan, so the picture is blank. Does anyone know how to turn it off or reset the machine? The User's Manual is long gone!!

I own this model and do have the manual; however, standard AV and S-Video connections do not transfer progressive scan video images. If you hookup a progressive scan output to a non-progressive scan TV input, you will not get an image, so it is probably the way you have your machine connected to your TV that is the problem. If you are trying to watch regular TV through your machine, you will probably need to use a standard Coaxial Cable. I hope this helps.

My remote was different from the one that Trackcar 2365 posted so I came up with this. This will take off the PRO symbol without resetting all of your other settings.

Press SYSTEM
Press DOWN arrow once
Press RIGHT arrow three times
Press SETUP once
You should see the Menu screen. At the point you should use the LEFT arrow key to get back to the main system. The system will be in INTERLACED mode from that point.
