Re: amplifier

The best thing to do would be look in the manual, it may say what ones you need, or find out the sizing and take it to a local halfords etc, they will be able to tell if you take the amp, and it wont cost much at all.

cheers, adam

No sound card installed Xp automatically

you need to find what kind of soundcard you have and download then install the drivers for that sound card, open up the case if you have to and try to read what brand the card is and what model it is, then go online and get the drivers, that should fix your problem

I need a schematic for a CR4000.1 amp from Sound Storm. A couple of transistors blew and I need to rplace them.

Good luck on that, thats a pretty big request. Ask sound storm for a schematic, but chances are you need to get a multimeter and start checking!

I'm not sure what kind (aka shape) fuses they are, but the manual says there 2x 20A fuses.

Optimum sound performance needed

1) legacy products are highly overrated and i have never seen one put out the power it claims
2) if you are running the amp bridged, you need to match the impedance of the speakers to the amps highest output impedance, otherwise your system will not sound all that great...

what size fuse or fuses does your amp use? what size wire did you install with (power and ground)? did you connect direct to battery or did you connect to a fuse block or similar? did you use a stiffening capacitor? does it sound like it is clipping when you turn it up or is it just distorted? what kind of box are you using for the speakers (ported, vented, sealed, bandpass)?

if you give me the model number of your speakers and your amplifier i can probably help you more, but with the information you have provided, this is all i can offer..

hope it helps,
