Question about Acer Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I don't have a problem with my web cam. I asked for help to fix my wireless keyboard. I have changed the batteries and pressed the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard. The video card has just been replaced in the hard drive. The keyboard model number is Logitech Y-RAJ56A.

I had a new video card placed into my hard drive. Since having this done, my cordless keyboard will not work (don't know if this is anything to do with the new video card). I have replaced the batteries in the keyboard and also pressed the connect button on the bottom of the keyboard, but this hasn't helped. I am currently using an old keyboard with a cord.

I need you to check a few things for me.... the new hard drive is using the IRQ for the keyboard. I take it the keyboard and mouse are USB. how many ports do you have for this. I want you to swap the keyboard usb to one in the front of the computer if you have one there

On the receiver for your wireless keyboard and mouse there should be a button that says Connect. What you need to do, is press that button, then press the button on the back of the keyboard that says connect. Depending upon your keyboard, you may have to then connect the mouse afterwards.

Thanks for using FixYa!

I have the Logitech EX100 wireless keyboard and mouse. We had to change the battery as it went dead. Now that we have new batteries in we cannot get them to work. Any suggestions?

Do a Hard Reset method to clear the keyboard and mouse settings and reconnect it back to your computer:

• Remove the batteries from the keyboard
• Press the Connect button on the receiver for 10 seconds.
• Press the Connect button on the mouse.
(You might need a pencil tip or other small tip to press the connect button.)
• Insert the batteries back into the keyboard.
• Press the Connect button on the receiver.
• Press the Connect button on the keyboard.
Hope this helps

Please rate this solution, thanks!

I changed the batteries in my Dell cordless mouse and it still doesn't work. Do I need to change the batteries in my cordless keyboard also?

I checked with someone from the Tech Support Department in my company and suggested I press the connect buttons. I also changed the batteries in my wireless keyboard. I pressed the connect buttons on the receiver, mouse and keyboard. After all this the mouse started working again.

Wireless Keyboard not connecting

I opened up the Logitech Mouse and Keyboard Settings, turned my keyboard off, changed out the batteries and turned it back on. It then detected the Keyboard and asked for a password, I entered in the password, it said it was rebooting it and asked for another password which I entered (both passwords were given to me in the Settings). Now it is working just fine! Not sure if you have tried this but it might work for you.

Getting wireless keyboard working

Normal 0 Assuming that you have good batteries installed, turn the Keyboard over and locate the small reset/connect button on the back of the keyboard and press it. Then try to see if it is working. If not try pressing the button on the receiver and then on the keyboard.
Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch.
Hope this helps. Bud
