Somehow, and we don't know how, we changed our setting to LP. We moved it back to HP and the problem is solved. You saved me a 80.00 service call. Good job!!

Hi there,

Usually a U2 code means there is a problem with closing the draw fully, and hence the dishwasher thinks the door isnt closed and will not start up. This could be because A) there is something impeding the draw from closing (check dishes are not sitting too high in the draw to stop it fully closing) or B) ther eis a problem in the draw switch at the back of the draw which tells the machine that the draw is not fully closed... Apparently this is a fairly common complaint witht he DD-602. To remedy that problem you will need to get to the back of the washer draw... If you are not confident in doing that, then get a repairer out to do it for you. If you want to try it yourself, have a look at the following article which helps describe how it is done:

Here is another article outlining the problem that is perhaps more useful:

U3 ok... here is some information I found on a U3 error that may help...

"Ok try this for a U3 error:

First have the unit turned off. Then open up the drawer that is giving you trouble.

The badge ought to be lit.

Now simultaneously press those static touch pads on each end of those
led status lights (the ones on the drawer top?) (Cycle Select, and
    Eco-sensor pads)

Hold them for about 5 seconds.

Now If you have a metal front machine, the badge display will either
show HP or LP. Assuming you have normal water pressure here like about
50 - 70 psi you want ta select the HP setting.

Do that by pressing the start button till you get what you want, then press power off to lock the setting in.

If you have an integrated model (you know.... matching your fancy smancy kitchen cabinets?)

Listen for a Hi or Low beep instead of looking for a display in the badge window.

    this applies to 602's only"

No power top drawer

Try to reset your dish washer. Turn off main power supply and leave it for at least 1 min. Is there any error code appear/beeping sound?

I have a F&P Model DD602I. I had a repairman out to change out hoses that were bad and now I have this problem: When I just run the bottom unit, it works fine, but a bunch of water ends up in the top...

Try to isolate the drain hose of the top drawer by disconnecting from the U hose. Run the bottom drawer.

Similarly isolate bottom drawer and then run top drawer.

See if problem is linked to back flow from drain.

I am assuming by now you may have already solved the problem.

During wash cycle it gets stuck and won't move past the wash cycle. On a regular wash it is at 28minutes and when it is on a fast wash it is at 25 minutes. If I stop it and turn on the rinse cycle it will...

I've got the same problem with the bottom drawer on the DD605. No fault codes were set. I checked the heating element and it produced heat quickly. I suspect that the water temp sensor isn't satisfied, and the timer is waiting for the water to reach the correct temperature. I called F&P's 24/7 helpline and they seemed to have no knowledge of this issue (clearly, it's not uncommon), other than suggesting that I disconnect it from the power supply for one minute, which didn't solve the problem.

I own a kenmore top loading machine model number 110 10 amp 60 hertz 120 volts the machine gets power and runs but the big control knob that controls the diffrent cycles is running only about 20 seconds...

sounds like you should replace timer (big control) timer motor is part of timer. Is timer knob speeding thru cycle that fast or just start/stop.
110 is manufacturer code for whirlpool, number after decimal is model number. tech sheet avail inside console by unsnapping left and right console covers and removing hidden screw at front bottom corners, pull forward slightly then fold console back (hinged at rear top).

Dish drawer leaks Fisher Paykel

When water accumulates in the bottom it triggers an error code and it keeps running. There is a water sensor in the bottom. I pull out the bottom drawer, mop up the water and use a hair dryer to dry the water (the more you mop up the less you need the hair dryer). Be careful to not get any of the plastic too hot. Kill the power before messing with the unit. The first time I did this it took 20 minutes to dry out. I have gotten more proficient and it take about 5 minutes now.

I had a water leak which was due to the rinse agent cap not being completely sealed. Water leaked out of a small hole in the front (I'm guessing an air vent but don't know for sure) and flooded the bottom.

I also had a leak due to having too tall a dish in the drawer and the top not sealing. I currently have a leak on the top drawer of unknown origin, but the bottom drawer still works.
Hope this helps.

Freezer working fine, but Refrigerator no longer cooling

Sounds like there's an airflow problem to the top section. Things that cause no cold air to the top fridge section are... frozen up coils completely blocking most of air flow (defrost cycle not working), evap fan not working to blow air up to fridge, air control dampers in fridge closed or not working properly, or frozen air ducts supply/return. Pull the whole drawer out the bottom and take the rear inside back off to expose the coils. If they are frozen solid the defrost t-stat or defrost timer could be bad (heat element not usually bad). If there is a nice white frost all over evenly then that's OK. Check that the fan is running when the compressor is running to blow the air up and that there are no blocked air ducts, etc. If all that is good, check if you can feel good air flow from the upper vents with the lower door closed (that shows there is no blockage and the fan is running).
