Do you hear the compressor run for awhile? If so then check the compacitor for the fan. Or check to make sure the contactor wires is Not broke.

Tempstar indoor outdoor central air unit is so noisy you can't hold a conversation. any lubricant's i could use and where.

I'm assuming you have an air handler that is inside. Turn the power off and make sure there is nothing that the fan is hitting. If not the bearings are probably bad. These motors are sealed and cannot be lubricated. You will need to replace the fan motor.

My LG split Ac is running some times but some times not working and showing error code CH09

Split = Outdoor unit fan problem. Check Outdoor fan motor is plugged in, Electrically & Mechanically sound, if not replace motor, otherwise replace PCB.
Multi V= Indoor unit EEPROM error - Replace the indoor unit PCB, and then make sure to do Auto addressing and input the address of central control.

AC unit wont work, inside coils are hissing but outside unit not turning on.

If thisnis a central air conditioner and there is hissing at the indoor coil then the compressor is running, it is possible that both fans are not running. The indoor motor may not run if the control board is bad, capacitor is bad or the motor itself is bad. The outdoor fan may have a bad capacitor or the motor itself is bad

I have a RUUD central air conditioning system, model NBHC-18J20SFA. The cooling function is not working. The fan on the outdoor unit is not working. When switching to COOL, the compressor works for a few...

sounds like the outdoor fan motor and/or capacitor needs replaced. The compressor will run for a short time because the fan is not pulling the heat out of the system, it can cause damage to the compressor if the fan is not repaired, Ruud used a 3uf capacitor rating for the outdoor fan motor, if the motor has been changed make sure the proper capacitor is also changed for the new motor rating.

Lennox central air for home not kicking on. Fan on the outside not spinning but motor is making a humming noise. No cold air coming in home. We have circuit breakers they are turn to the on position. ...

Is the indoor fan working? The problem with the outdoor fan sounds like it could be your capacitor. Turn off the power to the outdoor unit and make sure the fan turns freely using a screwdriver or something that will reach the blades. If it turns freely then it is probably the capacitor. Let me know what you find.

Hi i have a rheem central air unit. The outside unit does not want to turn on. i just recharged it with freon about a month ago so it cant be that

Check the circuit breaker(s) for the outdoor unit. Then set the thermostat to make the unit come on and see if the contactor pulls in. If it doesn't turn the fan switch from auto to on and see if the indoor fan comes on. If not your transformer could be shot. If the contactor pulled in on the outside unit check the capacitor for the fan and compressor.

Fan stopped .Compressor runs .

depending on if this is a window a/c or central unit, and if you are talking about the outdoor fan or the indoor blower fan.. will determine the solution. verify power to the fan motor, verify the run capacitor (if equipped) is good.

Whirlpool central ac stopped blowing air, cool or fan only. compressor outside running and attic unit on but no air. Solution??

If you are refering to the indoor fan that is not running, but that the outdoor condenser is operating, the next place to check is the circuit board in the air handler, this is the control for the fan motor. the relay may be bad that actuates the fan circuit. if the relay is bad there will be no power to the fan motor. If you have power to the fan motor then the motor is bad and the motor and capacitor should be replaced.
