We recently got a Philips 42PFL3704D/F7 lcd tv. We have our computer hooked up to one of the HDMI channels, and we have a switchbox hooked up to the 'Component' channel. The switch box does TV and our game systems. Whatever we are using Component for, the TV flashes off for a few seconds (flashes black), and sometimes the 'Component' indicator comes on (like it had just been switch or just gotten a signal). This happens even if we just plug something directly into the tv (not using the switchbox), so we know it's not that. There's no firmware upgrade for this TV yet, so any ideas would be appreciated...

Hi, I don't know if you have sorted it out, but here goes.
I have a slightly different model to you, but mine has a HDMI output and my TV also has HDMI, just connect the 2 together whith a cheap HDMI cable, not need to spend a fortune and you should be sorted. There is another way and that is using the monitor ( VGA Connector ), but I don't think your TV has a pc input. I have just found this while typing.

Give it a read but basically the only connection you can use is hdmi unless you have a dvi connector on you laptop.

I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse and left the laptop near the TV so i can use it from my armchair.
