Question about Heaters

Dyna Glo 95-c flame height

I installed a new wick on my heater and have been burning it for about a week now. I am finding that with the wick adjustment open all the way that the flame height is no where near what it was before I changed the wick. As a matter of fact with it open all the way the flame appears to be what I would call low in height. Is there some sort of manual adjustment at the burner that I can fine tune the flame height?

Check your air passages for a blockage. the wick just aids in burning your fire.

I just replaced the wick, cleaned up the heater and filled with new K-1 kero. The heater (Dyna-Glo RMC-95-C7) is emitting black smoke worst than ever. The wick is burning a little unevenly.

Either the wick was improperly installed or you may not have allowed enough time for the wick to soak in the kerosene and become evenly distributed. Check the placement of the new wick and allow time (several hours) for the wick to absorb the kerosene.

Dyna glo RMC 95 C6 kerosene heater, BRAND NEW. Wick and flame seem very low. At Max the wick height is 3/8(suggested height by manufacturer), flame is quite low, and not very hot at all

1. Check to make sure you using fresh clean kerosene fuel. 2. Make sure you fill the heater and let it set for at least an hour, 2 hours is better. 3. If either of those solutions don't fix the problem, return to the store.
I have the same heater and just changed the wick. When working correctly, it should be so hot that it's uncomfortable to hold your hand 2 feet over it.

Dyno-Glo RMC-95-C7 kerosene heater. replaced wick

once the tank gets low(on E) put the heater outside and let the remaining fuel burn completely out. This will burn off the residue build up on the wick and make it easier to turn off manually. do this often. i also use an old toothbrush to "fluff up" the wick. if the residue is too hard for the toothbrush bristles, flip the toothbrush over and break up the residue with the back side of the toothbrush. once all (or nearly all) of the residue has burned off you may see some smoke when you ignite the wick again. also, it may smell for a bit. I always light and shut off the heater outdoors. I mounted a dolly (table withe 4 wheels) under the heater to make transporting it easier. hope this helps!

Dyna Glo model 95 C2 wick replacement is a boogar even with so called instructions is there any trick to this wick is hard to hold in place and insert over round housing without pulling out 3 sidepins have...

turn the wick control knob all the way up before installing new wick. Put it all back together and make sure wick goes all the way down inside the groove when you push the shutoff lever. Do this several times. If not, then heater WILL NOT shut off !! P.S..use clear K-1 kerosene....the K-1 with red color seems to make bad carbon deposits on the a short time the wick becomes crusted and will not drop down to extinguish the flame. I had to open it up and put baking soda on the wick to put it out.
