Question about Konica Minolta Magicolor 2530 DL Laser Printer

Konika Minolta 2430 DL won't let me print

I have plenty of black toner that I would like to use on an important print. But my printer tells me that because it is low on yellow toner, it will not print. Is there a way to bypass this annoying feature of my printer so I can print?

Look through the menus on the printer for a setting for "Low Toner" -- the choices of what to do are usually either "continue" or "stop" or something similar (my 2430DL has this option setting) -- set this option to "Continue".
My 15 year old HPs also have a similar setting. However, this will keep it printing when the black runs out, so you will need to check your print production run visually as you go along to make sure the quality is what you need

No. sorry. Your printer mixes all colors for all prints.

Contrary to the previous solution, laser printers do not mix colors. However, the answer is still no. If you are pressed, there are two things you can do temporarily.

First, to squeeze out just a little more life from the yellow toner you can resettle the toner. Remove the yellow toner cartridge, hold it horizontally, and shake end-to-end. This might even rectify a false reading of low toner for the cartridge. It does this by loosening any possible clumps in the remaining toner and reactivating the static charge between the particles.

Second, add black toner to the yellow toner cartridge. This will obviously mess up any colored print consisting of any mixture of yellow while the black toner is in there. But, it will allow you to print until you can replace or empty and properly refill the yellow toner cartridge.

Can't get black to print

It can tell you it has lots of toner, but I would check the cartridge to be sure. Also the waist toner bucket, because as soon as it is full, it will inhibit printing too.

Hi i cannot print any documents ive typed with words or school information it keeps saying STATUS:TONER LOW ??

Based upon your question, which is a bit vague, you must have a laser printer. What the printer is telling you is it has insufficient toner (some incorrectly mis-state "toner" with "ink". Laser printer = Toner. Inkjet printer = ink) for the print job to occur. If you have a laser printer which prints in only black (black and white), then you can try this:
Black only: Open the toner access panel on your printer, remove the toner cartridge (it will easily pull out), and GENTLY shake the toner cartridge from side-to-side . What you're doing is allowing toner (ink?? It's more of a powder-like substance which consists of ground-up plastic) to shake evenly to the bottom of the cartridge. Then, put it back in. IMPORTANT: This will not work for long. You need to get a new toner cartridge soon!
Color: If you have a laser printer which can print in color (based upon your description, it sounds like this is NOT the case. If you have a color laser printer, it would display to you that a particular color is out of toner), then do the same thing as described above... but for EACH toner cartridge.
It still doesn't work: If this does not work, then you're out of toner (Ink... sigh). You MUST replace your toner cartridge which is out of toner. If there was another way to do it, I would tell you. When you're out, you're out.
Please let me know if you have any further questions by doing a REPLY to this answer. I'll be happy to help!

Blue Toner finishes quicker

I can't imagine where toner could possible go from one of these sort of cartridges except on to your paper, I had a customer once with the same request and I found on their letter head that they printed with it had a single band of yellow across it hence excess yellow use,,,,,, Do your print runs of anything contain dark bands/underlines? I guess check to see if white background in any prints has a blueish tinge to it, or possiblly somehow black is running out and it is printing the blacks by mixing the colours (Check black block and text to see if it is really black not heaps dark blue to ensure black toner is operating)

next I'd be questioning if cartridges where brother ones?
