I have a paper jam error that wont go away even after i've pulled out the paper

States printer off line when cable & plug are secure

When I go to print, screen says printer off line. Have you checked your plug or cable to see if attached? I have replugged the plug. turned off & onn, reset button. I did replace cartridges recently with canon products & have printed since.
