Memorex model MVD4543 The DVDs are only playing in black & white. I can't get them to color. Help!

You might want to make sure that your connecting cables are correctly hooked up. B/W picture can be caused when you mix up the connections of component cable. Make sure all the colors match, red with red, blue with blue, etc. Hope that helps!

I have an old TV from the 70's and I want to plug my DVD player into it. What kind of connector should I ask for?

Thank you for your question.

Your DVD player probably has RCA jacks on the back, 1 yellow, 1 red and 1 white (or black in some cases).

You may need an RF modular which costs about $40. This will convert your signal back over to 75 ohm so you can then hook it up to cable.

TV's from the 70's had a 300 ohm connection which was usually 2 screws. You would also need a 300 to 75 ohm transformer so you can hook to the old TV.

Both these items along with a few feet of 75 ohm cable should run you around $60 at your local electronics store.

Make sure you set your TV to channel 3 or 4 to find the DVD signal. It can still be done.

Hope this helps.

Well for a TV such as this about an Amp or so, like 2 Amps would be too much suggesting a fault.

VCR has no color picture is clear but black and white

Vee, V, a Vee Cee Rrrrr ? Not a DVD?

If you are playing a VHS tape that should be color content and it's in Black and White ... well you could check the tracking control if there is one on that model. Otherwise it sounds pretty broken. Probably NWR. Not worth repair. Try Cleaning the heads with a cleaning tape???
