SOURCE: Washing machine door will not open

remove the front kick panel. feel at the back of the door switch, there is a plastic thing with a ring at the bottom, pull this down and you can hear a click at the door switch and you can open it now. that is the manual door opener. make sure there are no more water inside or you'll make a mess.

SOURCE: Washer will not open after washing cycle ie

You can also try running the reset to see if that clears the latch, but you shouldn't have to do that.

SOURCE: washer completing washing cycle but

The main cause for this e70 error is that the hoses would have swapped (hot to cold, cold to hot). It means the washer isn't getting cold water.Try to switch between the hoses. Another possibility is the faucets are not turned on.Hope this solution will fix your problem for sure.

Washer leaves marks on whites

This means that the machine drum needs cleaning. A suggested method of doing so follows;

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away

1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

My washing machine does not have a spin cycle

I just solved this problem myself. It's the lid lock mechanism which is located under the top cover. When I manually moved the aluminum locking tab over my washer prompty drained and spun. There are four wires total going to the switch. Well, the solid white and the white/red wires control the lid lock mechanism. You can either replace the entire switch or bypass the lid lock by wire nutting the two wires I previously mentioned together. Now, if you bypass, be forewarned the lid will open while the washer spins very fast which presents a potential danger. For immediate use, bypass until you get the replacement switch. Hope this helps your problem.

Washer door won't open (hotpoint first editon 800)

I have just had exactly the same problem. 10 seconds of washing, fuse blew, replaced it, cycle completed but now the door lock is stuck on. Like you I tried a new cycle but this has done nothing. In the end (and I'm not suggesting that this a remedy to the problem) I unplugged the machine - pulled the door handle til a gap appeared at the top of the door and forced it open by working a pair of scissors in to the gap and pulling. Of course as soon as I shut the door again and turned on the power the lock light came straight back on the and the door was locked tight. Sorry but this is the best I have come up with short of calling some one out.
